Napa Plaza Hotel Reviews

3rd Visit This Year

4/5 - December, 2018 Tripadvisor.com

I returned to the Napa Plaza for 3rd time this season and I had emailed beforehand requesting a room similar to the other one I had been in on my other visits. I didn't get a response but was not concerned as I have always been treated well as this hotel. The only things was concerned about was this was the first time I was visiting on my own. When I arrived I was greeted in the usual lovely manner at the reception. I was given a room on a higher floor than expected and it was a dark room. The lovely lady had said at the time of checking in I could have an upgrade for a charge of 70 euros for the week, if I was happy with my room, even though I hadn't seen the room yet. After seeing the room I was allocated I decided to return to reception and I paid to upgrade to a room on the first floor and same as the room I had on previous visits. As usual my stay here was lovely except for rudeness of a couple of other guests at the pool, which the hotel knew of my upset over this and sent two minuature bottles of wine to my room (a nice touch). I did feel lonely around the hotel at times, which made me only go to breakfast twice because of this.
The hotel was busy for this time of year, but was not full which brings me on to what I found out on the day I left and it made me feel that loyalty of returning to a hotel I like didn't mean anything.
I learnt that another single guest that visited the hotel for the first time, the week before me, had emailed the hotel regarding looking for an upgrade when the guest arrived, they were given an upgrade without charge and it was not from a Superior to a Deluxe, it was to a Suite. And this guest was treated like a VIP and felt very comfortable being there on their own. So, I felt I was offered the upgrade from Superior to Deluxe at a charge when the hotel wasn't full and yes I did pay it as I preferred the other room, preferred floor etc. But a 1st time guest who had requested an upgrade was given a suite for sole use free of charge. I didn't request an upgrade but was offered for the charge, if I had emailed and requested an upgrade would I have then been given one free of charge ( I don't think so)
Too many companies and business these days give VIP treatment to new guests/customers, I wish they would treat all guests/customers the same.
Regarding, the cleaning of the rooms (bedding, ashtray on balcony, etc), I understand it was becoming the end of the season, but my room was not kept to the same standard as my other visits. I know I was on solo traveller, and did notice I got a mark on one of my pillowcases on the first night (probably missed a bit of make up when I was taking it off) on my last night I noticed the mark was still there, the pillows had obviously been moved about but no bedding had been changed the whole week, ashtray hadn't been emptied a few days (I had to do this) and even though I had started with two bath towels and two hand towels some days I was left with one and had to find a lady to ask for other towels.

Even though I write this review I would return to the Napa Plaza and I still recommend this hotel and the staff are wonderful,

Peace & quiet

So peaceful yet so close to the centre of Ayia Napa. Staff were very friendly, loungers have very comfortable cushions, no rush to place towels out, quiet music played around the pool, great choice of restaurants both in the hotel & close by, great choice of shopping nearby, 5 minute walk down to the nearest beach, room comfortable, air conditioning good, no noise so good night's sleep. A mixture of peace & quiet inside the hotel yet all the nightlife & amenities anyone could ask outside made for a perfect stay.

Fab hotel

Great centrally located hotel in heart of ayia napa. Would recommend as close to nightlife and shopping but double glazing helps with noise. The staff are all helpful and friendly. Would recommend the pool bar as staff very friendly and make great daquiries. Hotel clean and has all amenities for a fab holiday. Only downside is not enough sunbeds at pool so get up early in winter!

Very nice visit, great hotel

It was a very nice visit in a great hotel. Nice staff and the rooms are fine. It was really pleasant to lay next to the swimming pool in the morning or afternoon. The buffet was on some nights not so impressive, but it was very good on other nights. The breakfast was always great! The atmosphere on the whole complex is very relaxed. Would certainly recommend staying there again!

Nice central located hotel

Stayed between 28thaugust-7september. Overall nice hotel, nice food.dinner at the main restaurant is all fresh and delicious but not so many choose and limited portion of salads..love the swimming pool.. the bar in the evening near the pool looks amazing romantic atmosphere you can have ni e wine enjoy the pool view and listen relaxing songs. Rooms are nice and clean.hotel is like a labirent.:) I was confused when I walked to my room first day hard to find it .also the main restaurant in the evening is not easy to find:)it's only two floor hotel but it's like labiren as I said earlier.. it has nice open air bar and few more restaurants front of the hote.hotel located at the center of ayanapa close to bars and restaurants shops etc.. my room wasn't pool view it was town view just near the church and a loud bar Infront of me. So if you want a early sleep I wouldn't recommend town view rooms because music from bars goes until 2.30-3am midnight and it's loud.you will not get a good sleep.also somedays church was really loud in the morning priests singing from 6am till 9am.but not everyday. Room is nice and clean superior big bed, daily room cleaning at convince of your time. I didn't like the TV reception in the room.tv doesn't get good signals from channels so I preferred not to watch TV at all. Overall I will recommend this hotel good for couples and even single people.i was single and has a good fun met nice people.friendly nice atmosphere professional service.

Top class hotel right in the centre of Ayia Napa.

Just back home after a week in the excellent Napa Plaza hotel. From the moment we arrived late at night we had a good feeling about this hotel. The reception staff were very pleasant and efficient. We had a room overlooking the pool which very nice. The whole set up from the pool bar and lounge to the reception area and the various bars and restaurants and breakfasting area were first class. The staff very very pleasant and went out of their way to ensure you had a good time. Special mention to the porter Andreas who never failed to chat to you and was a font of knowledge about Asia Napa Altogether a very pleasant experience.

Fantastic hotel

5/5 - October, 2018 Tripadvisor.com

This was my first holiday alone and, I was extremely dubious to say the least. I emailed the hotel before arrival to see if I could upgrade my standard room. Yianna alkiviado ( public relations manager ) replied with price etc. She was so helpful and kind.

On arrival, they informed me that I had been upgraded to a suite with no extra charge. I had only paid for a pool view room. I also paid for all inclusive.

The room was stunning. Really large, with a huge jacuzzi bath and, walk in wet shower.

I can see why yianna is in public relations. Her people skills are perfect. She also called my room to invite me to a managers cocktail hour. Really wonderful lady.

The hotel itself is located in the heart of town. But, you would never know it when you are inside as it's so peaceful. Everything is so clean and tastefully done.

The buffet food was wonderful. Every night, a great choice and, well prepared.

I felt very conscious of being a solo traveller but, all the staff did their best to put me at ease and, make my holiday enjoyable.

Andreas, the porter/security man was great. He always took time to chat and, make sure I had everything I needed. You could tell he loved his job and, was very good at it.

Everyone and everything at the napa plaza was wonderful. I will definitely be returning.

Great experience

I had a great experience at the Napa Plaza Hotel. The stuff was very nice to me and they have help me with all the things I needed, with no exception. Andreas was also very nice to me, he helped me all the time and also came with me to the bus station for my way back to airport.

Fantastic Holiday

5/5 - October, 2018 Tripadvisor.com

I have just returned from a week spent at this marvellous hotel with my two adult children. What a fantastic break we had. I was slightly nervous as I had chosen the hotel based solely on the reviews, I shouldn't have worried. From my first enquiry the staff were helpful and efficient .Every single member of staff we came across, without exception, were warm, friendly, cheerful and offered exceptional service.
We upgraded to to the all inclusive package and the food was delicious. The variety and quality in the main restaurant was outstanding. The individual restaurants also offered a good choice and lovely food. The cocktails were amazing.
We shared a room and it was plenty big enough for the three of us. The double glazing ensured there was no noise and the efficient air conditioning was very welcome.
The pool area was always spotlessly clean. Each day we were offered a small smoothie, fruit and a cold towel whilst relaxing on the sun loungers, a lovely touch.
A huge thanks to everyone at the hotel. We hope to return next year.

Excellent

We have been back home for a week and every day we wished we were back at Napa Plaza all I can say is this place is fantastic the staff at reception were brilliant also the bar staff were very good and the restaurant staff always had a smile and could not do enough for you I had to spend 3 days in hospital which did put a bit of a downer on the holiday but all the staff asked if I was ok and looked after my wife who was worried about me so thank you to each and every one of you.
This place is so relaxing the pool area is very nice and the food is excellent the pool bar is also very good and at night it is a fantastic place to chill out,
So all I can say is thank you for looking after us and we hope to see you next year

Second time back and it's as good as it was last time!

5/5 - October, 2018 Tripadvisor.com

We went to Napa Plaza last September for a week and liked it so much we went again this September...

Great hotel, brilliant staff... the hotel is close enough to the nightlife and beaches should you want to venture out. Alternatively, if you upgrade to all inclusive for €45 a day, you get great drinks and food is an adult only, chilled out environment.

Give it a go - you will love it!

Perfection!!

5/5 - October, 2018 Tripadvisor.com

Booked this hotel for a three day getaway from routine and boring work life. Visited it with my sister, mama and granny.
I have to say it was the best decision I made!

Its located right in the main street of Ayia Napa. Right next to the Ayia Napa church and very close to the Hard Rock Cafe!

One of the reasons we choose this hotel is because it has a spa. I have to say it is amazing! I requested for a Sunday appointment and even though they are usually closed they were happy to accommodate us all! Their therapist is a true professional who explains and makes you feel comfortable during the different stages of the sessions.

The pool is located in the centre of the complex with the pool bar right there where you can enjoy drinks and food throughout the day.

The hotel has 5 restautants, 2 cafes and 2 bars all with amazing food and beverages!!

Amazing Stuff!
Great Service!
Perfect variety for breakfast!
No children allowed (peace & quiet)!

Recommended 1000%

A little piece of heaven...

5/5 - September, 2018 Tripadvisor.com

We have just returned from 2 weeks (6th of September to the 20th) and already cannot wait to return!
From the moment we arrived the lovely people at reception could not do enough for us, and the lemon drink they gave us was so refreshing. The porter was there in seconds and carried our luggage to our room (no easy task, we had loads) and he was so helpful- this was the London guy cannot remember his name.
The room was lush, spotlessly clean and faced out to the stunning pool area, we could not believe that we were in the centre of Ayia Napa, so close to all the nightlife but the hotel was so chilled and relaxing and you couldn’t hear a thing once in the room.
Air con fab once we realised the door needs to be shut properly but luckily on the first day, reception called to check everything was ok (which was a really nice touch) and we mentioned the air con. Within minutes somebody was at our room and showed us how to shut the door properly (silly us).
Now onto the food- we were all inclusive and expected things to be good as had read reviews but we had no idea how good it would be! The breakfast had choice after choice, all hot and catered for all tastes, the breads were delicious and even so many juices and drinks to try you could not possibly leave still hungry.
The lunch is served (table service) in the Soma lounge by the pool and we worked our way through the menu, everything was delicious and the ice cream to die for.
Drinks from the bar were delicious and even the presentation in the evenings in the way they serve them is just beautiful.
Dinner is served in the Cloisters for the buffet or one of the restaurants on the complex, you can eat in them once a week before pre booking. We ate in Sale e Pepe the Italian twice and it was gorgeous as was Cafe central, where we chose steaks and again this was so good with both restaurants it felt wrong not receiving a bill especially as people off the street are queuing to go in and pay!
The Cloisters had theme nights and we enjoyed each one we went to particularly the Italian, Asian and Mexican nights.
You will never taste fajitas like these and we have been to some top Mexican restaurants back home- these do not beat the cloisters.
The food really speaks for itself and we literally could not fault it one bit- so many choices, top quality and it was easy to see the passion that had been put in- the chefs come out and check the food constantly to make sure it is up to scratch and they refresh the dishes continually, was so impressed with them and Maria (I think) who was the head chef it fantastic, we overheard a lady saying that there wasn’t anything she fancied on that night and we heard the lady head chef (who we think is called Maria) offer to cook her something different- Maria also came to check we were happy with our steaks in cafe central and had a joke that we had ordered them cooked well done. You could see how much she really cares about what she does and this was
shown in the best food we have ever tasted consistently through our holiday.
The rest of the staff, all the staff that work at the start of the day in the cloisters at breakfast, then the soma bar and then throughout dinner as well were absolute angels and couldn’t do more for you. They work so hard, all day long but you would never know it they are so friendly and really take the time to have a chat, ask how you are and we never once encountered anyone that was not 100% wonderful, they were genuinely so impressive and served so many people but they really remember what you like and it makes you feel very valued (we are the vinegar girls haha).
The male restaurant manager was also there all day long and was so hard working and lovely, he even
taught us some Cypriot!
The pool was lush, cold towels gorgeous and very welcome, sun loungers really comfy, aerobics instructor fab, and I had a deep tissue massage in the spa that was second to none, did not even need to tell the lady where my pain was, she found the root straight away, try the spa it’s a must.
The only small issue was the pool towels were often a long wait for and some days these were not available until late morning and one day it was lunchtime.
A special mention for Andreas who is another person that works tirelessly, always around keeping an eye on things, he made us feel really safe and was so friendly and helpful, always holding the door open- he needs a medal as we see him do it for so many guests and not all of them having the manners to say thank you, but he still perseveres- he is another star of the hotel and really helped us out on our last day- such a good guy.
Finally we made friends and made it our mission to look after the cats that seem to live on the complex and fed them each night- they were lovely and we ended up really worrying about what will happen to them in the winter. One of the lovely lady’s in the bar explained that when the hotel closes for the end of season the renovations begin and someone will continue to feed them- we really hope this happens as we became quite attached, and had been impressed that a little area was set out for them, they accept food donations and water so don’t forget about them when you close Napa Plaza, we hope to see them again next year!
Thank you thank you and thank you again to all the staff for a truly amazing holiday- we do not usually return to the same place, never the same hotel, but will make an exception for this place- it was an absolute gem and deserves to be top of the list!
See you next year xxx

Nice Stay

4/5 - September, 2018 Tripadvisor.com

We have for short trip in Napa plaza. As for the location it is great if you would like to visit cafes and night clubs, that are really great on aya napa. Also the beach is only 5 minutes walking. As for the room, our room was superior room with balcony, that was Ok. Air conditioner worked well, wifi was also good, as for the bathroom the toilet brush was little bit dirty and also the bath was not sparkling white bit grey colour.
The breakfast was very good, restaurant staff was also very good. Reception Lady Mamia is also very friendly. The problem that we have encountered was with towels we have waited more than 1 hour to have the towels from the laundry and the lady from souvenir hop is very far from hospitality. For overall, it was nice place for short stay.

Great place to stay

Great place, in the heart of Ayia Napa. The staff are wonderful. They're really helpful. The rooms are good and the breakfast served is also nice. They have good facilities for a holiday. We spent most of our time at various beaches but the hotel.is fantastic.
