Excellent hotel

I can only add to the other 5-star reviews on here. My wife and I stayed for six nights at Casa Barca in beautiful Malcesine after spending three nights in Venice. We had a hire car which there was ample space for. The hotel is in a great location, down a quiet side street but just a few minutes' walk to the centre. There's also a big supermarket very close by which is handy.

Although it's fairly big, the hotel has a friendly, family-run feel to it. Guests were mainly Germans and Brits when we stayed. The staff were always on hand without bothering you. Our room was modern, clean, spacious and had a beautiful view from the balcony. Breakfast offered everything you could want - you can even have a glass of prosecco! You can get lunch at the hotel but there are lots of good restaurants in the town, and you can also get sandwiches and stuff from the supermarket. We never had any trouble getting a sun lounger by the main pool but there's also an extra pool and sunbathing terrace at the top, which was very quiet the one time we went there (a bar wouldn't go amiss, though). We didn't use the spa facilities so can't comment on them, they are only open from 4-8 I believe.

My only minor complaint would be that the Wi-Fi signal is quite poor, especially in our room, but that shouldn't matter too much when you're on holiday! Overall this is a perfect hotel for couples looking for a relaxing holiday.

Fanastic hotel

I'm used to stay at hotels around 100 times yearly and beside this my wife and I are at vacation 2-3 times yearly so we're used to stay at hotels/resorts etc.
There is no place like Carsa Barca and my wife and have now been here 7 times and it has become better and better every time though first time was 100% perfect.

It's the best place me and my wife have been at ever due to.

The only 'negative' part giving this evaluation is that more would like to stay at Casa Barca which could give us problems booking for our preferred period for the coming years

Married in Malcesine Castle

We were married in Malcesine castle and stayed with Casa Barca for one week and I cannot fault them. My parents also stayed with us and my bridesmaids got ready in my room. We were given a free upgrade to the sky suite from a spa suite and it was absolutely amazing. The room was faultless, the view was amazing, the food was excellent. The staff were lovely and accommodating, due to unfortunate bad weather on the wedding day my mother and bridesmaids struggled to get a taxi to take them to the castle, so the owner of the hotel took them in his private car free of charge and out of the goodness of his heart. The hotel was spotless and I have never felt so welcomed. All i can say is thank you Casa Barca so much, for making my wedding day the best it could possibly be and we will definitely be back one day! AMAZING

A true gem

My wife and I stayed at the Casa Barca with friends at the end of May / beginning of June. Everything about our stay was a delight. The location, the staff, the room, the facilities - absolutely everything. Claudio and Antonella, together with their outstanding staff made our stay memorable. A special mention for Carlos and Lucca for whom nothing was too much trouble. Anyone wishing to stay in Malcesine should look no further than Casa Barca.

10 year anniversary

There really isn't much to say about this hotel except everything is excellent. From the moment my wife and I walked in we were greeted by Carlos on reception who was very attentive and knowledgeable. We stayed in the newest part of the hotel in the romantic suite room 101 and wow what a fantastic room with a phenomenal view of the lake. The rooms were spotless with clean towels every day and fresh bottles of water and coffee pods. Will definitely be visiting this hotel again and can very highly recommend for a luxurious romantic break.

This hotel really is amazing. From the overall cleanliness to the helpful team, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. Breakfast was lovely and the swimming pool and spa facilities were great. The hotel is very close to the centre of Malcesine (up a little hill), a supermarket and the bus station so very easy to get around.
