We stayed at Grand Salome for part of our honeymoon, and the experience did not disappoint! The service we received was excellent from the moment we walked into the lobby. The food/drink all week long exceeded our expectations for resort food- it was delicious! Just know you will need reservations for dinner because the restaurants are booked each night. The resort is gated, but you have access to the beach and are easily able to leave the resort and travel the coast line while also feeling that the resort is safe. Highly recommend!!
Quality hotel with quality service
Hotel and rooms are modern, highly equipped, with 2 enormous TVs (all languages catered for), efficient air conditioning, combination safe, great bathroom with twin basins, jacuzzi bath, wonderful shower and separate wc. Shower temperature is affected by demand, however. Beds and pillows are comfortable. Room has good quality furnishings, sofa, chairs etc. Good Wifi available (see Alex!) Pool is of high quality and warm. Infinity pool with jacuzzis with four submerged loungers, is even warmer! Sufficient sun loungers, with several day-beds available, and choose as many towels as you like. Occasionally the gardeners were annoying, but the pool area is immaculate. Pool bar supplies free cava and crisps all day, and occasionally cocktails in the afternoon, with tea and cakes at 4.30. Every sun lounger pair has its own bell to call a waiter! Lunch menu is a bit limited but of good quality. Anthony is the fantastic barman, with great help from regular staff. Breakfast is either by buffet or a la carte, eaten in a private area. The buffet choice is huge! Have a cocktail in the main bar in the evening, choosing from the massive menu. Restaurant Sea Sole serves quality food and the biggest T-Bone I have ever seen! There is a security gate that leads to the coastal path with access to all the local bars and restaurants. There must be 100 restaurants/bars (of varying quality) within a ten minute walk. There is a quality shopping centre 100yds from the main entrance. There are several "butlers" who circulate during the day who will chat to you and answer any questions you have. I would definitely recommend the Salome! You will not be disappointed you came! Oh, and did I mention... No kids?!
A wonderful place to stay!
We stayed here in April and had the most amazing time! Beautiful clean and comfortable suites, lovely warm pools with sea views. The best place to go for rest and relaxation. Many thanks to Kim and Alex and Richard, who were always so polite and helpful. Cannot wait to return in the not too distant future!
We were transferred to Hotel Salome due to the Sabila hotel not being finished. The Salome was a great experience, if you are looking for a Adult only with beautiful surroundings and great attention to detail then treat yourselves to here. The whole experience was 1st class and the majority of the staff were very attentive. The butler Frank was very customer friendly and certainly promoted the hotel very well. The breakfast was a delight every morning in the exclusive wing, OK there was more choice in the breakfast MALL!, but you could have anything if you asked and it was served extremely quickly and very tasty. The suite was faultless and as the terrace faced the sun from morning to evening if you did not want to move you could sit there all day, however the pool area was very comfortable as was the heated pool and other smaller relaxing pool. We found the attendant guy a bit off but maybe he was having a bad day! We did not eat in any of the hotel restaurants only because we like to go outwit the hotel but they all looked very nice and busy. Our only negative was that we had an early departure from the hotel and breakfast was ordered but never came, apart from this we will be back, thanks to all the staff for a wonderful week at the Hotel Salome.
Peaceful and relaxing hotel
Absolutely fantastic, a select few around the pool, no noisy music or building works or children. You are made to feel special by all of the staff, I could name all of them but everyone went out of their way to make it feel like you were a little more special than the main hotel guests which are adjacent. We have already booked again for next year.
From the sandy beaches in the south, to the lunar landscape of Mount Teide, this sun-kissed island is the largest of the Canaries and is blessed with an eternal spring-like climate. This island welcomes millions of people every year who are looking for relaxation, adventure, good times and fantastic weather.
Without a doubt, Tenerife’s most famous place is the Teide National Park, declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 2007. The best way to reach the highest point of the peak is by cable car. Once at the top, you can walk around and take in the amazing sights.
If you want to explore further the culture of the people of Tenerife, you should visit the museums and art galleries in the island’s capital, Santa Cruz, and enjoy traditional festivals. The capital, Santa Cruz hosts the second largest carnival in the world, second only to Rio de Janeiro Brazil. Every February it attracts around a million people from the island and all around the world.
The fantastic weather in Tenerife makes it the perfect holiday destination for people who love sport and leisure activities. The crystal clear waters make it ideal for diving and snorkelling, whilst beaches with large waves are a favourite with surfers, windsurfers and kiteboarders from around the world.
Tenerife has an active nightlife in resorts like Costa Adeje, Playa de Las Americas, Puerto de la Cruz and Los Cristianos. There are literally hundreds of bars, restaurants, nightclubs, pavement cafes and fast food establishments to choose from.
