Canaves Oia Suites

Extraordinary place. Best location : its placed at the beggining of town notin the middle. So when you arrive you dont have to lug your suitcase in a walking only street.
The view of the caldera is extraordinary. You dont get bored of it. The service, food and rooms are exquisite, they could not be better. The staff is friendly and efficient.
I highly recommend it as one of the most beautiful places in this planet!

We booked a Deluxe Suite for 5 days, which is one level up from Junior Suite. The view from inside the room is fantastic. We enjoyed sipping wine/champagne by the jacuzzi right outside our door every afternoon watching the sunset and having a cup of coffee in the morning. They offer breakfast in the room as well as the breakfast area although we went to the breakfast area every day because we enjoyed being looked after by the attentive staff. I don't know if this is an adult-only property as we never saw anyone younger than 20 at any point in time. The pools were not heated which is probably the only criticism we have. The location is absolutely the best both from the view standpoint as well as access to restaurants/stores/quietness. We ate out every evening so we can't rate the restaurant quality. A couple of nights during our stay, there were live music at the restaurant. The room is simple but well-appointed. Very comfortable and we love the turn-down service each evening.

My husband and I spent our last five days of our honeymoon at Canaves Suites in Oia. The hotel was beyond anything I ever imagined.

Reception: I have never come across more helpful reception staff at a hotel. We had dinner reservations made for us, travel arranged in the hotel car, our choice of room, a smartcar booked for us for a day of travel, robes, towels, toiletries brought to us within five minutes of calling. They were always pleasant and never made you feel like a bother.

Room: We were in room #33, a two story room with a pretty large jacuzzi ... appeared to be one of the more private rooms available. The rooms were always perfectly cleaned (2x a day). The nepresso pods were also unlimited and free here which was not the case at our other hotels in Greece. I found the bed to be pretty firm and uncomfortable, but my husband liked it, so .. to each their own.

Hotel: Could not have pictured a more beautiful hotel. The infinity pool was incredible - the views! The regular pool just as good. Comfortable day beds - and always able to get one. Pool side service was great, too.

Food: We did not eat at the hotel except for breakfast. I found the breakfast to be really tasty with many help yourself options (including a gluten free, bloody mary & champagne corner) and a menu you could order from.

Location: The hotel is in a great location - we spent most of our time in Oia (where hotel is) - and only went to Fira one time ... it seems much more commercialized than Oia. The hotel car to Fira was 30euro and a cab back to Oia 25euro. About a 20 minute drive.

If you have the opportunity to visit, definitely do so.

From when Canaves picked us up from the port all the way through to when they dropped us off at the airport, they provided the utmost customer service that is unrivaled among other world class resorts. I’ve stayed at some nice places around the world and Canaves Oia Suites was by far the best service, most spectacular views, greatest amenities, finest food and all around first class experience my friends and I have ever had. We stayed with another couple and had the grand suite with a plunge pool on our balcony, something I would HIGHLY recommend. The room was spacious, and the view was stunning. The resort pools were just as incredible, including an infinity pool overlooking the volcano. We had lunch several times at the pool restaurant because we couldn’t eat enough of the delicious food. The girls used the spa and had nothing but remarkable compliments to the facilities and the staff. Canaves completely knocked it out of the park with the service from the front desk, to the servers, and even the drivers. Everyone was so kind and knew exactly what we needed sometimes before we even asked. I am very happy that I found this place through American Express Travel and truly cannot wait to go back as this is now going to have to be a regular place to visit.

This is our first time visit to Santorini where we stayed at the Canaves Oia Suites.
The front desk service was excellent and helpful. The restaurant food was just average. The spa was amazing and we would recommend it.

My husband and I spent 3 days at Canaves Oia Suites with two of our adult children. We all loved the resort! The suite was big enough for the four of us. We loved the two pools and had dinner in the resort one of the nights. The location was convenient to shopping and dining. We hiked to Fira from the resort one of the mornings. We highly recommend this resort!

My friend and I spent three nights at this lovely hotel. We were upgraded to a suite so that they were able to fit a cot in the room so we had our own beds. The staff is just so helpful and always pleasant. We really enjoyed our stay here. The location is perfect, right in the center of everything. Nothing could have compared to the pleasant stay.

There are few hotels that leave me speechless, this was one of them. We stayed in a Superior Suite with plunge pool on the highest level of the property for increased privacy. The plunge pool is heated to about 23C which made it comfortable during the day and at night. The view of the caldera was stunning and the colors of the sky at sunset make it look as if an artist had drawn them on. The staff was incredibly helpful, friendly and attentive. The food from their room service menu and lunch menu was by far some of the best we had in Greece. Before we left the hotel we were already making plans to come back. The only word to accurately capture it is phenomenal.

We celebrate our 15year Anniversary at the Canaves Oia Villa with a private infinity pool it was breathtaking! The staff were so nice and would check in with us throughout our stay especially George he was super helpful with information every time we had a question, his customer service was beyond our expectations. George made our stay so special ! The location is the best in Oia it’s private and you don’t have people walking around. I’m dreaming of the breakfast they serve it was so good with a big menu and buffet selection. This hotel is Luxurious it’s all you imagine Oia to be. We have recommended it to our friends and I would highly recommend it to you. We would love to come back and vacation in the same hotel soon.

Having travelled the world with family and friends and always trying somewhere new and different, we genuinely feel we have found possibly the ultimate place to get away from it all.

This was our second visit in 12 months , this time with friends from New York who also had teenage children . And we have booked again!

This is a very special place where you are treated as an individual , incredible staff from Thannasis one of the managers , to Christos and Sergio who I got to know very well with our transfers , all just incredibly friendly , unstuffy and focussed on all of us having the most incredible experience . We must also mention the incredible Desi who also for the second time organised everything from Ferries to Cataramans to restaurant reservations . All were incredible without exception. Also the food here is exceptional and the new fine but relaxed dining experience in the evening was really a big and very positive change , the crab dish was exceptional .

Treat yourself , and the family , incredible location with unbelievable views. Can’t wait to go back !

Canaves Suites was truly an amazing place to stay. The staff was welcoming right from moment we arrived. The person at check in walks you around to see the layout and amenities. We were early so they suggested lunch with welcome sangria drinks. The beautiful views from the restaurant made the delicious food even more enjoyable. The breakfast buffet the following morning was lovely and you could compliment it with ordering anything you might want off the menu as well.

Upon going to our room, we were told our room was upgraded. We were in the Executive Suite with cave pool and were blown away at how beautiful and perfect a room can be. Anything we asked for was delivered within minutes. We could not believe how attentive the staff was. Champagne and fruit were left in our room our last night for our Anniversary.

The concierge helped us with booking a catamaran for the day and a private wine tour which were both amazing days. They also made restaurant reservations and managed to secure last minute changes despite it being the high tourist season.

The hotel’s location is truly the best being the first hotel as you hit the pedestrian walkway to all the shops and restaurants away from the pedestrian and vehicle traffic. Very quiet and the best views imaginable. It could not have been a more perfect Anniversary celebration. I cannot imagine a better hotel in Oia.

We stayed at the Canaves Oia Suites for three nights. We chose the Infinity Pool Suite which has a stunning infinity pool on the corner of the deck that had incredible views - highly recommend this suite.

The room itself was very nice, decent size, definitely compared to a lot of other hotels in Santorini.

Our favourite thing about the hotel was the level of service and the quality of the staff! My husband who is a sports guy, and doesn't sleep without a tv in the room - the tv in the suite was located in the main sitting room. We casually mentioned this to the staff, and within an hour, they had two guys in our room installing a tv in the bedroom (including moving furniture around, rewiring the cable!), and even left us a note with the time and channel to watch the NBA finals game that we were hoping to catch. The front desk staff were completely on top of our schedule, and reviewed it with us every day - we scheduled our meals etc with a travel concierge and they were not shy to make alternate suggestions for other restaurants that they thought we may prefer - all of their recommendations were spot on!

We dined one night at the Panorama restaurant which is a private table on its own balcony - it's more about the experience and watching the sunset - very romantic. The food was decent, but a little bit on the inventive side for our tastes, but we still enjoyed the experience. Another evening we came down to the restaurant, and after looking at the menu (which is more fine-dining) we mentioned we were looking for something a bit more simple - the manager walked us over himself to their sister property nearby with exactly the type of food we were in the mood for.

The level of service of their team was really spectacular - no ask was too small. And their attitudes were so warm, kind, and helpful. They arguably exceed the level of service of the Aman properties that we love to stay at. A big thanks to the team at Canaves who made our stay so wonderful.

Would highly recommend staying here.
