Visited on the first day of the 2019 season and was upgraded from a standard suite to a Mystery Villa upon arrival. Absolutely fantastic room, and comes with private pool, private jacuzzi, private sundeck on the second floor, and steam shower. Very polite and courteous staff. There are, indeed, a lot of stairs at this property but as I understand the same goes for all hotels on this part of the island. I mean, if you are staying at a hotel at the edge of the cliff, stairs are, quite frankly, expected. The property is a few hundred meters from Oia and thus you will not see as many tourists. Privacy is decent, and some rooms have better privacy than others, needless to say. Overall, certainly worthy as a high-end, Marriott property.
We upgraded to a private villa upon arriving and it was the best decision we could’ve made. The wonderful customer service experience we had is unmatched. The staff was so attentive and helpful when suggesting excursions. They even have a private driving service to take you to other parts of the island. The luxury hotel sits on the cliffs of Oia with a quaint town of shops and restaurants within walking distance. I could talk for days about how beautiful our experience was in every aspect but it’s hard to even put in words. You will not regret booking with Mystique.
Location and service beyond expectations! Antonia ( our friend now ) and our wedding planner had attention to detail that warmed our hearts .... she took time with small details that made a difference and was absolutely Stressfree.... She compiled a lovely team..Dimitra Bratika photographer made us feel special and her knowledge of the property was perfect ..Renia Bledaki makeup made me comfortable and she made me laugh and have fun ...Bella Damigou.. took a picture and made it reality... John kavallaris... our celebrant captured the meaning of our marriage to a tee... thank you all for making our special day even more than imaginable...
Then the lovely note staff ..Maxim at the front desk went above and beyond to make our trip easy ...picking up ferry tickets and arranging our buggy..Kostas at the captains lounge took service to a new level ..Lovely wait staff though out the hotel, just our evening bartender thought it would be better for both us and and him if we are our appetizers at a table...( maybe an unknown rule cause the bar was small)
Beyond our expectations tenfold!
What a wonderful hotel! We enjoyed two great nights here after spending an equally wonderful evening at their sister hotel Vedema located in Megalochori.
The location of the hotel is truly remarkable. The whole hotel built right into the cliffs, it was incredible to see. The hotel is coloured beige rather than white, which made for a nice contrast (as well as making it easy to find on your walk home after a few glasses of wine!) It's also located just outside the main drag of Oia meaning it's really peaceful and quiet and only a couple of minutes walk to the main part of the town.
The room itself (#5) was a bright space, with a really comfy bed. The bathroom was tucked at the back of the room, dug further into the cliff itself. Pretty awesome. The only snag I had with the bathroom was it was slightly awkward to shower and almost impossible to not cover the floor with water. Barely much to moan about in the grand scheme of things.
As were celebrating our engagement at the hotel, the staff offered us so many treats every day! Olives, wine, sweet treats. The service was exceptional across the entire hotel. We were greeted with a smile every few minutes by every single member of staff. It should be a given for every hotel, but I really noticed it here. Amazing service.
The breakfast was a la carte with so many choices. There is an option to eat it on your balcony or in your room if you wish.
I couldn't fault the hotel, it was an amazing experience. Thank you for a really great stay!
Our best stay on Santorini ever
We have been to Santorini five times and this was our best stay ever. The staff is welcoming and truly caring. We felt like family. Imanuel, Maxim, Nehir, Kosta, Alexandra, Anita, Fotis, Kostantina, Kosta (2) and many other sweet people. We thank you for your kind hospitality. We plan on coming back to see you all next year
We spent 4 nights in the Mystery Villa at Mystique last month. The view from our villa was both stunning and peaceful. The staff at the facility is top-notch. We stay at 5 star properties around the world and Mystique's staff is right up there amongst the best. They all spoke English well enough to make it easy on us (as we speak no Greek). While all the staff was great - Alexandra was a stand-out and had just an amazing personality.
We spent 90% of our time at the property rather than traveling around the Island. I have some limitations which made the climb back up to street level a challenge. This meant doing something we never do - have all 3 daily meals at our hotel! That said - we were not disappointed. The food was amazing and we are not once disappointed with what we ordered.
This trip was our 30th anniversary and it loved up to our expectations
We stayed in this beautiful hotel . The staff at reception were excellent they gave us a drink as soon as we check in. The moment we arrived they took our luggage and deliver straight to our room . The hotel is in the cliff overlooking the Aegean Sea. Everyday is a picturesque view in front of you whether in your balcony or eating breakfast in their 3 restaurants. I have to mention their hostess Alexandria in their Charisma restaurant. She is excellent in providing service with a smile , respectful and patient .The restaurant has an amazing view on the Aegean Sea , the food they cooked to order always fresh. The room big always cleaned twice . I would recommend this hotel. I would come back here again , service is great all throughout .
Absolutely fantastic !
Have just returned from the wonderful Mystique hotel in Oia. From the second we arrived, i realised that it was a very special place. The manager Emmanuel and his team are first class. Every member of staff was extremely attentive and extremely obliging.
Our first experience in the evening with Vangellis at the bar for amazing drinks, Anita in the Charisma restaurant who was wonderfully attentive to us and Kostas who always seemed to be everywhere!!
At breakfast, again a wonderful team and i am cross with myself that i can't recall the young lady's name, long blonde hair, who was so efficient and friendly and where nothing was too much trouble.
Era took great care of us around the pool too.
The hotel being set into the mountain made it unusual. A beautiful but simply styled bedroom with our bathroom set back into a cave. Our view from our balcony was out of this world and i am very much missing it today !!
Definitely a place for flip flops and no high heels. The climb back up to the top is a little challenging but i am hoping that it counteracted the wonderful food and drinks having been consumed whilst there !!
Would definitely highly recommend this hotel and hope to be back for another visit some time soon.
Beautiful Hotel, Even More Wonderful Staff
This is a beautiful property with gorgeous views. You can't see the sun set into the ocean from this location (at least not in August), but the light and sky and water are beautiful nonetheless.
The pool area is small, but we never had a problem finding lounge chairs. It is a great place to watch cruise ships and yachts going by. Our room had an outdoor jacuzzi and although it was too hot to use it during the day, it was a lovely place to end the evening after dinner.
The rooms are all different as they're built into the side of the hill. Our room was very spacious, even with a rollaway bed. It was also silent and we had some of the best sleep of our entire trip here.
The restaurant was a great place to start the day with a large breakfast menu and staff that encourages you to try new things. Special thanks to Alexandra for making us feel so welcome every morning and evening.
Lots of reviews mention the stairs and walkways as being a problem. Certainly if you are not an active person or wear high heels, the stairs would be a problem. But if you're in good health and wearing decent shoes, the stairs and walkways at the hotel and in nearby Oia are no problem.
Even though we were traveling as a family, this would be a wonderful place for a honeymoon or couples getaway. The Mystique was the most relaxing part of our entire trip and we would definitely return.
This hotel was beautiful. The staff is excellent. The view is phenomenal. The room that we had was wonderful. There was a winding staircase to a loft and there was a patio with chaise lounges adjoining it. We also had a small patio off our room with a table and a couple of chairs. The room was clean, the bed comfortable, and they had great toiletries. There was a treat left in the room daily from the kitchen. There is also turndown service and they leave chocolate also.
