Relaxing time at this hotel

4/5 - August, 2018 Tripadvisor.com

Loved this hotel. Like other reviews have said, the staff are friendly and professional without being intrusive. I thought the breakfast was amazing, there was everything you could ask including a glass of fresh juice; there was even vodka and tomato juice for those in need of a hangover cure, I did try the prosecco. The evening meal was also superb. There was a huge choice of salad etc before the three course meal, then a choice of cheese or small cakes and fruit. The quality of the food was fabulous. The only meal we did not like was the steak from the BBQ, it was cold and tough.
I liked the window from the bathroom into the bedroom, it brought in daylight in the room and you could see directly outside and there were blinds for privacy.
The pool is a great feature,as it’s T shaped and big enough to do lengths. Plenty of sun beds and plenty of shade if needed.
We hired (free) bikes and went to Nin a lovely village nearby.
I bought a bottle of wine which was the equivalent of £48- 50, (355kn)one of the three recommended daily, my usual limit is £7-10 at home; but I thought, why not, I’m on holiday. As I did not think it tasted expensive, I Googled it and found I could purchase it on line for £4. I did contact the company as I thought it may have been incorrectly priced. I had a swift response to say it was and that they purchase this wine for about £14 plus taxes, so I guess their mark up is about appropriate. But I didn’t buy any more.
However, this did not spoil the lovely week we had.

Great choice

We recently returned from a 2 week holiday at this hotel. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and returned refreshed and relaxed . It is a quiet adults only hotel with a lovely pool big enough to do lengths and with a jacuzzi and water spouts. There are plenty of sunloungers with sun umbrellas. There was never a day when we were not able to sit wherever we wanted. They provide complimentary water poolside and you are able to order drinks and food if required. The service at this hotel is excellent and nothing is too much trouble. A big thank you to the older gentleman who serves drinks along from reception as he was very pleasant and helpful. The food served is very good. At breakfast there is a buffet with cereals ,yogurt, juices, bread, rolls muffins and ham etc and the hot course has to be ordered and is served to your table. Dinner is served al fresco and again there is a varied buffet to start and then starters, mains and dessert are served at your table. The waiting staff are very pleasant and helpful especially Marina and Milana(both excellent). Rooms are comfortable but not large. The bed was comfy and it was very quiet to sleep at night. The bathroom was kept very clean and there was always plenty of hot water. We did find the shower cubicle a tight squeeze and we are not big people! However that is a small point. The hotel is in close proximity to the beach and it is very nice to walk in both directions along the seashore. The hotel is close to a bus stop into Zadar and the little train which also will take you there(cost30kuna) can be caught just outside the hotel. We had a super holiday at this hotel and thoroughly recommend it to anyone reading this. You will not be disappointed.

A Hotel for Relaxing and Unwinding

5/5 - July, 2018 Tripadvisor.com

We chose this hotel as it was an Adult Only hotel and as the school holidays in Europe are in full swing we thought it would be quieter. We were so right, the atmosphere around the pool is wonderful and the gardens around it are beautiful and reminiscent of an old English garden with magnolia trees and roses flowering. The sun beds were plentiful and very comfortable, and overlook the sea. The staff were exceptionally helpful and always willing to go the extra mile to make it special. The restaurant unlike many does not rely on luke warm dishes sitting around and instead there is a choice of menu courses served by waiting staff with the added benefit of a salad, fruit, desert and cheese buffet to supplement your meal as you choose. The meals were quality rather than quantity which suited us and we could always add a course from the buffet if we needed to. Breakfast was buffet style with lots of choice and egg dishes ordered fresh from the kitchen and served by the waiters. We also liked sitting outside for our meals and we know it is perhaps old fashioned but we appreciated the lovely table cloths and linen. The hotel is a short taxi ride from Old Town Zadar which is well worth a visit. Thank you to all the staff particularly the young man at the poolside who was so cheerful and happy to help.

Relaxing & pleasant stay

We decided to stay at this hotel as it was adults-only and the location was good for where we wanted to visit. We were not disappointed, it was very tranquil with well kept gardens, lovely pool and relaxing area where there are plenty of loungers and bottles of water free of charge to hand during the day, very welcome. The area for eating breakfast and evening meal was also lovely, outside in a type of courtyard. There is plenty of food to choose from, however, evening meal does get a bit similar as the week goes on,
All the staff are very polite and friendly and always happy to help. We were made to feel very welcome by them all. We managed to get a sea view room, again very nicely laid out but could do with a little bit of a touch up in the shower/toilet area, slightly loose fittings which we made aware to the reception desk who said it would be brought to the facilities attention.
All in all we were happy with our stay and felt relaxed very soon. Good place to stay if you really don't want too much going on, having said that you can go into Zadar town which is not far away.

Lovely location

1) This is a beautiful property in a quaint town.
2) Excellent beachfront, ideal for a lazy 2-3 night stay. Beautiful & well manicured gardens

3) Excellent staff and service. My wife told them she did not like to eat fruits lying exposed to flies and they quickly cut a fresh plate of fruits for her.
4) Dinner is normally included in the tariff but is not appetising. Not too many desirable options nearby.

5) The rooms are nice but could have been designed better. They had one of the tiniest showers I’ve experienced (reminds me of the one in Marriott, Grosvenor square).

Our amazing trip to Zadar Croatia

5/5 - May, 2018 Tripadvisor.com

I booked the half board meal plan, it exceeded our expectations for selection, quality and generous portions. The wait staff was awsome! The atmosphere was incedible meal served on terrace overlooking a gorgeous garden and pool area as well as being able to see the Adriatic. It was one of the most memorable meals we have ever experienced. This goes for both dinner and breakfast. Our room was wonderful clean and spacious with all the amenities one would expect at a resort hotel.

A hotel with understated loveliness in Zadar

5/5 - May, 2018 Tripadvisor.com

It was my first time in Zadar, and at first I was unsure about visiting it. I was pleasantly surprised. I had such a lovely relaxing break and I think it was because I stayed at Hotel Adriana Falkensteiner. The moment I arrived in the reception area, I could smell the fragrance of roses from the beautiful English garden. I had to wait for my room, but I did not mind. It was a sunny day and I had a walk in the garden and the public beach by the hotel. The beach itself is not as beautiful as other beaches in Croatia, however, there was something that I liked about it (the surrounding area was friendly, relaxed and unpretentious).

The location itself is a bit far from Zadar city center and the Old Town. For me, this was not an issue - it took me around 40 minutes walking to the Old Town. I actually liked the fact that the location is not that close to touristy area - it was just peaceful, and pleasant.

The room was very good (spacious, clean and the housekeeping ladies always did a good job while I was staying there). There is a cozy living area, and decent size bathroom. However, there is a bit of an issue for me. The room is not quite "high-tech". For the same price in other location (i.e. Split, Croatia), the room had USB charger, and generally modern (for example, I could charge my phones in the room). While I was at Hotel Adriana Falkensteiner, I had to charge my Samsung phone in the reception. My IPhone, other devices and even my electric toothbrush were dead. Please note that it was not a big problem for me, however, it would be great if the hotel could invest in technology for the room (at least adapter should be available in the room for people travelling from other countries).

I also used the gym and spa facilities in the neighboring sister hotel, which is just 2 minutes walking. Although, the reception can arrange a staff to take you to the sister hotel with a buggy. The sister hotel has a fantastic spa facilities and the indoor swimming pool was great.

The main highlight of my stay at Hotel Adriana Falkensteiner was the restaurant, the food and the staffs. The restaurant served really excellent food. I never had a bad meal while I was staying there. The breakfast buffet was great (great selection). The restaurant is welcoming and it had a really nice ambiance. At dinner time, they always served delicious food made from really fresh and great quality produce. One of the restaurant staffs recommended me a really good Croatian wine (thank you).

I think that the hotel is lucky to have such wonderful staffs. They were always helpful and friendly (but not over-friendly and always remained professional - which was brilliant), Martina from the restaurant was charming. Martin (restaurant), the reception ladies, the restaurant manager, the gentleman who runs the breakfast, restaurant staffs and the lady who seemed to be a manager of the gym / spa in the neighboring sister hotel - they are really great asset for this hotel (thank you so much for making my little break wonderful).

I do not know when I will be back in Zadar (as there are other places in Croatia that I'd love to visit in the near future, however, I do recommend this hotel for a relaxing break).

Fantastic Stay in Zadar

4/5 - April, 2018 Tripadvisor.com

We were looking for a place last minute and found the Adriana. I have to stress the guy and the front desk Philip is AWESOME!!!!! From the second we walked in, to the second we walked out he was always there to help, answer question, give opinion of places to go and the like. Philip is clearly a top 1% customer service provider in my opinion. Overall this place is a great hotel and I would recommend you stop in if you are in the area. Best of all it is a very short stroll to the waters edge so it is perfect for a nice relaxing walk along the water's edge.
