Another great and relaxing hoilday

5/5 - October, 2018 Tripadvisor.com

It was our second holiday to this hotel this year and once again it was perfect. All the staff were very friendly and helpful which made it a relaxing break. Our room was clean and well serviced throughout our stay. The food was up to the standard we would expect with this hotel with a good variety at all meal times. Once again our thanks to the management and all the staff for making it a perfect holiday.

Fantastic Hotel

5/5 - October, 2018 Tripadvisor.com

This hotel really is fantastic we upgraded to a superior room so we had unlimited use of the al a carte restaurants and a different restaurant for breakfast which was much quieter and provided great personalised service well worth the extra money paid all the staff are so friendly only negative was evening drink service could sometimes be very slow.

Wonderful second visit

5/5 - October, 2018 Tripadvisor.com

We spent 11 nights at the Pioneer Beach at the end of September 2018, this being our second visit. We weren’t sure whether it would live up to expectations as our first visit was so perfect but we most definitely were not disappointed. There were a few minor issues upon our arrival but these were dealt with swiftly and to our complete satisfaction by Mrs. Valia and Christiana. The food was superb (and we are not easily pleased) in all the restaurants, and the drinks were branded which is not always the case in other all inclusive hotels. We had room no. 39 which was always kept beautifully clean by the housekeeping staff and the pool and general areas were also spotless. ALL the staff were exceptionally well trained and attentive but the following members of staff made our holiday particularly memorable: Asterios, Antonia, Vasilos, Gabriela and Evaggelos so a big thank you to them. Chatting to other guests, it became apparent that many people choose to return to this hotel frequently. We can certainly see why as we now count ourselves among them. Thank you for a fabulous holiday to all the Pioneer Beach staff - we will see you again soon. Neil and Sheelagh.

Pioneer Beach Hotel Paphos Cyprus

5/5 - October, 2018 Tripadvisor.com

What a fabulous hotel right on the beach!
We stayed here in a superior room all inclusive and for the extra you pay we certainly got our money’s worth.
The staff were absolutely great. The TUI reps very helpful and on hand for much of each day and as hotels go altogether a restful place to spend two weeks.
As a “ black card” holder we had exclusive use of a private restaurant with personal service second to none.Food to die for and an ambience calm, offering outside or inside dining. The big advantage of a small hotel with plenty of staff on hand is that very personal touch as they quickly became friends over the fortnights stay.
Our room over looked the pool and beach and the sunsets were spectacular from the balcony. The hotel was on a regular bus route to Paphos town only ten minutes away and only one Euro fifty cents each way. If you used the bus service for longer you could purchase a day ticket or weekly ticket from the bus station in Paphos.
Any drawbacks?
Only one which is common to many hotels we have stayed in and that is the reservation of sunbeds by placing towels on them at daftoclock in the morning.
Otherwise a perfect holiday and we are going again next year.HGW

Another Fantastic Holiday!

5/5 - October, 2018 Tripadvisor.com

We stayed at this hotel the first 2 weeks in September - All inclusive - Once again this hotel did not disappoint. This is the second time we have been here and as soon as we arrived we treated like we had never left. We were offered a glass of sparking wine as we checked in, then we were shown up to our Sea view room and our bags followed shortly thereafter. The room was very clean and nothing out of place. It is such a joy to come to a place that prides itself on attention to detail.
Throughout our stay, we were treated courteously and nothing was too much bother. The food was fantastic and I must mention Astarios in Christiana restaurant, he and his staff were totally professional. A smiling welcome every morning for breakfast and the same when we occasionally used this restaurant in the evening. Although I must also say the other restaurants and staff were all fantastic. I could not fault any of them.
All the TUI staff, Mike, Karen, Chloe, Terrell and Alice were very engaging and pro active this time. A far cry from the TUI staff on our previous visit. It was good to see guests interacting in the sports and pool activities. This in turn allowed people to meet and speak with others they may have not have spoken to.
The staff were all so attentive and catered for all our needs. My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our holiday and we are looking to book once more next year. When you find a place like this, why go anywhere else!

Lovely, relaxing week at a great hotel.

5/5 - October, 2018 Tripadvisor.com

We have just returned from a week's all inclusive stay at this gorgeous hotel. We found the hotel clean throughout, plenty of section when it came to food and the pool area nice and relaxed. Although a little out of the way, we didn't mind the peace and were able to walk into Paphos Harbour in about forty minutes along the beach path. One of the highlights of our stay was one of our allocated a la carte meals. We chose the Mediterranean option and had a prime spot on the decking to watch the sunset over the beach. Try and book a seven o clock table if this is something you fancy, it is very beautiful! We would definitely recommend this hotel and would be happy to return. Thanks for a lovely, relaxing stay!

One week holiday for two adults

5/5 - October, 2018 Tripadvisor.com

First time at this hotel. Last minute booking. We had a limited sea view room on the first floor facing over the pool/gardens with a reasonably good view of the sea. We could watch the sunset from our balcony. Would have liked a room on the second or above floor as we were right in the corner, Room 139. If we were three of four rooms further towards the beach, this floor would be ok. Saying that the room was big with a large king size bed, large bathroom with a bath and shower over bath. Plenty of space for clothes, desk area with mirror and hair dryer and a socket with two usb ports. Plus two chairs and a small table. The balcony is not large but holds two chairs and a small table. The hotel has plenty of sunbeds and despite people putting towels out early we was always able to get two beds even on the days we walked to Paphos, and came back after lunch. Paphos is a 40 minute walk along a flat terrain next to the sea.
The hotel has two indoors bars and one by the pool. Plus four restaurants. The main one is spacious and has indoor and outdoor seating. A very large range of food covering all diets and including starters, mains and desserts. The other restaurants depend on your board type. We did use the one restaurant which was on decking overlooking the sea and paid the extra for this. The hotel gives a 10euro discount per person as you are not using the main restaurant. Service in all areas is polite and not pushy. Men must wear long trousers for the restaurants, and I was pleased to see it adhered too. It is an adult only place which is quiet. There is entertainment in the form of live music every night both indoors and by the pool area but no one would get up and dance. We had two BBQ nights, canapés and drinks whilst watching the sunset on another. There was aqua fitness class every day, and other day time activities. We had a very late flight on our last day and asked to use a courtesy room and was told we could keep our room until 18:00 which worked out fine. (cant promise everyone gets this) Next to the hotel is a small chapel and we saw about 7 weddings in the week we was there. Also did a Segway tour which was well worth the money. The beach is rock and sand but there is a small jetty to jump off or even climb down the steps into the sea. overall would give it 41/2 stars due to location of our room but this not a big issue. Hotel has wi-fi but unsecured.
rooms cleaned daily, safe in room. Drinks on arrival, always a cold drink available in reception. When we left at about 20:15 on the last night, we were waved off by someone representing the hotel, which I thought was a nice touch.
I would suggest you consider all inclusive if you like an occasional drink. Local beer 3.50 euros, litre water 2.20 euros, cocktails 6.50 euros. the added benefits include one or two nights in the alcarte without paying extra. We paid an additional 70 euros for our meal and drink. Overall a very nice hotel and worthy of a second visit, a number of people we spoke with had visited up to 14 times. On another note, it appears suitable for wheelchairs although mobility scooters are not allowed in hotel, wheel chairs are. We were advised by one couple they had no difficulty in moving around the hotel and the path to paphos at the front and rear of hotel appeared suitable for wheel chairs.

Two weeks at Pioneer Beach

5/5 - October, 2018 Tripadvisor.com

My husband and myself and two friends have just returned from Pioneer Beach hotel and we had a fabulous time. I really cannot understand the awful comments that some people have put - especially the one about the Germans getting better treatment than the Brits. We had fabulous service and everybody was so kind and helpful. We liked to eat outside for breakfast and the lovely lady at the door always did her best to accomodate. She even moved us after a few minutes because a table had become available. I think you get treated the way that you treat others!!!! Our room was nice but I have to say the cleaning was not the best but we were on holiday and it didnt spoil it. We were moved to a sea view room after telling reception our air con was no too efficient. We didnt have to mention it again - we were moved the next day. Food was excellent and the Al la Carte restaurants were wonderful. I would definitely recommend this hotel. Just go and enjoy fabulous service, fabulous food and fabulous service and dont nit pick over things which really dont matter :-)

Awesome experience

5/5 - September, 2018 Tripadvisor.com

My partner and I stayed here for a romantic week in the sun and were not disappointed!

The hotel is only 20 mins transfer time from the airport. We were on a late night flight arriving just after midnight. The hotel kept the restaurant open for us if we wanted to eat.
We were offered a refreshing drink on arrival and check in was quick and painless with no annoying all inclusive wrist band to wear. Instead you are given hotel cards which you must take with you and present when you order food or drinks.
The rooms are lovely we had a partial sea view and balcony ( of course you pay extra for this) but it’s worth doing as you probably wouldn’t want a room overlooking the main road at the front of the hotel.
The hotel is clean fresh and modern. The food was superb cooked well with a huge daily choice.
Staff were friendly , quick and efficient. The rooms are serviced daily. There are mini bars in the room the first full minibar is free but after that you pay to have it re stocked. There is also a coffee machine in the rooms that take the coffee pods which I thought was a nice touch the only downside to this is the room maids never left enough milk or coffee pods when re stocking so we were constantly asking for refills.
All in all this is a lovely relaxed hotel. The food is excellent, the staff are friendly and efficient and I would not hesitate to recommend staying here.

Great food, lovely hotel

4/5 - September, 2018 Tripadvisor.com

Had a lovely 10 days at this hotel - food is really great, so much choice at every meal. Loads of gorgeous fresh fruit, yoghurts, full on English breakfast along with every other possible thing you could think of for breakfast!
Dinner also had oooodles of choice with plenty of hot & cold buffet with all the usual fabulous fresh salad, cheeses, freshly cooked fish or meat and a great Chinese area where various Chinese dishes were cooked fresh every day. Amazing array of puddings, although I stick with fruit my hubby thoroughly enjoyed a good bowlful most nights!

Room was comfortable, shower was awesome. Nice bed with gorgeous pillows! There was a Coffee machine in the room along with small fridge for drinks (you can buy water, coke etc in the hotel shop at v reasonable price). We had a sea view room and the sunset views were incredible! If you buy a bottle of water from the pool bar it’s €1.70 but in the hotel shop it’s .65 cents for a much bigger bottle. Not a big drama but over 10 days can add up!

The pool is lovely if a little warm - I’m an early riser so was down at the pool most mornings by about 6.30/7am. If you want a ‘prime spot’ around the pool most of the beds had gone by 7.30/8am. There are plenty of beds on the grassy area and also the beach - there’s a lovely breeze at the beach as it can get super hot round the pool.

Only thing that lets this hotel down is the evening ‘entertainment’ which was truly awful and consisted of (mainly) dated, almost embarrassingly bad singers who droned on throughout dinner & into the evening. There was 1 singer who was from the UK and did some quite good covers one night but apart from that, it was just dreadful. If only this hotel invested in some sort of entertainment it would make such a difference.
Paphos itself (the harbour area) is a 10 min bus ride for €2.50 each way, a taxi is €13 return. Wasn’t great only because it was all just Brit ‘tat shops’ to be perfectly honest. Sun creams, hats, inflatables, nothing Greek or Cypriot. Restaurants all looked v British too - I get this as most tourists were British but personally I would prefer something a bit more authentic.

Overall loved the hotel but wouldn’t go back to Paphos.

Excellent hotel service

5/5 - September, 2018 Tripadvisor.com

Our travel agent somehow managed to book us the wrong room despite us asking for the same accommodation that we had a year earlier. The hotel understood our problem but could only provide what the agent asked for. This was a standard room not the superior room that we had last year. We could have an upgrade but we would have to pay for it.

The travel agent was also understanding and offered to make up the difference between their’s and the hotel’s charge. We went ahead with the upgrade and paid the hotel. The hotel then upgraded us again at no extra cost to a junior suite. We were extremely happy with the outcome and the hotel staff especially Valia were both understanding and helpful. Thank you!
