Steigenberger Coraya Beach

Myself and my son just returned home after our second visit to the Steigenberger Coraya beach hotel in marsa alam.

WE had a wonderful time thanks to all the staff looking after us also Vanya always on hand if needed.

We are coming back at Christmas to see you all so till then thank you. Carol & Timothy.

Our 12th year and 16th visit to this great resort. Little has changed over the years apart from becoming Adults Only some 5 years ago and now very popular and busy. In fact it has now become the 'victim' of it's own success, repeat guest rate in the mid 60%s and very full, noisy and everyone clamouring for the best tables, sunbeds etc. Found the general atmosphere more 'competitive' than relaxing. Coupled with the noise from the new resort being constructed adjacent to Coraya Beach, we had to step back and say 'where are we' a few times. In fact Coraya Beach was the last place we would have expected to have been lambasted by the bass of a boom box for 10 hours. Apparently management has decided that the 'younger set' needs to be catered for and have arranged a carnival party of a Monday evening with a stage and amplification equipment at the head of the bay. Started up at 2pm and ended 12.30am with our room reverberating to the beat of the boom bass. We could only get away in the bathroom with the shower on! Suggest management review and consider what has kept the Coraya Beach at the No1 spot on Trip Advisor for the past umpteen years.The service and standards coupled with friendly helpful staff however still make it our ideal 'chill out' location. Always visit outside of the peak HOT summer months, with May and late September our preferences. This visit was during the first two weeks of September and there were times when we were praying for a cool wind or escaping to the air-conditioned spots.
Food great, wide selection on the Buffet while the Al Fayruz a la carte restaurant offers a good alternative, although we found this time it had become very popular both lunch and evenings.
Facilities well maintained, both gardens, pools and rooms served by attentive and friendly staff.
Entertainment has been 'beefed up' with professionals providing the majority of evening entertainment. This is possibly the result of acts being transferred from Sharm and other Northern resorts. This time the Animation team were relatively low key and engaged with the guests well.

Normally do not mention individual staff as they are usually all great, but must single out Vanya, the Resort Guest Relations Manager and the TUI Rep Mo who was most helpful. But thank you all at Coraya and have booked to return next May.

In a green setting, small buldings,accessible sandy beach, a team of kindness and extraordinary efficiency. A restaurant of high gastronomic quality. Very close to the airport but without nuisance.
calm, tranquility, security,15 days of happiness even if you do not practice diving !

What an amazing holiday, only 5 minutes trip from the airport. The hotel even keeps the dining hall open late for the guests on their arrival date. ALL of the staff were amazing and looked after us so well.

The maintenance team are always busy ensuring the hotel remains in top condition cleaning everything inside and out and touching up paint work.

The room was cleaned every day with the fridge replenished with water and beer. The guy cleaning our room looked after us so well and even got us a gift on our last day. (make sure you tip these guys they do an amazing job)

Always managed to find a space on the beach, or by the pool. Perfect holiday if you want to relax, or if you want to go snorkelling or even diving. There was also some great looking trips focused on Snorkelling and Diving, but we didn't fancy leaving the comfort of the hotel.

The food was good and although they have to cater for so many guests we could always find something to suit.

There was building work being carried out opposite the hotel but this did not disrupt our holiday and we could not hear any noise from the work site.

We can see why guest go back every year. We can not wait to book again. Well done Steigenberger Coraya Beach. You have found some amazing staff who look after the guests so well and have a good laugh too. Thank you

We had a lovely time at this hotel, staff were extremely helpful and always smiling, a refreshing change ! Cleanliness was very good as was the choice of food, very quiet location even though a hotel was being built next door, my only disappointment with our holiday was nothing was explained regarding wi fi, once we entered our room we tried to join the wi fi network, unbeknown to us we weren't connected and as a result of one day without the.connection I incurred £100 roaming charge !!! If using this hotel do not turn off aeroplane mode until.you have got a internet code from reception, you can get codes as often as you want to ask reception but no one tells you this... We found out from fellow guests next day ( too late ) other than this I would highly recommend this hotel.

Just to say ,thanks to all the staff who made our holiday so relaxing ,from morning to night ,they all work so hard and made our stay great, beach is good with plenty of sun beds and the sea and snorkling is good,rooms are fine ,dining was good and there was always plenty to choose from,just a little niggle was nothing the hotel could do was the building work going on next door which we noticed during our entire stay,but all in all was a lovely relaxing holiday,Thanks to everyone at the Coraya

We returned to the Coraya Beach for the 4th time in September 2018 and again were not disappointed! The hotel, staff, food & pools were excellent. Nothing is too much trouble. All staff from gardeners to management were very friendly, approachable & professional.

We have stayed in this hotel many times over the last 9 years and it just gets better.
Everyone from Hadi the rooms manager to the pool help are of the highest quality and could not be faulted.
Mohammed Hussein and team at the Fayruz restaurant. He was attentive, funny, knowledgeable and as always provided brilliant service. His excellent management of his team was very apparent and led by his example. They worked together and for each other, which provided all of the customers with a brilliant experience even at the busiest of times. The food was excellent.
The main restaurant was also brilliant, with excellent food and service.
The rooms are excellent, and cleaned immaculately every day.
The snorkelling in the bay is great with a large barracuda, turtles, eagle rays and even a brief visit by dolphins.
A wonderful place to stay.

Lots of alternative choice for Hotels on The Red Sea. This Hotel always looks to improve that which is already excellent New innovations such as a Daily World News Brief and drinks brought to your Pool Bed or Beach Bed show they are still trying to improve their already High Standard.

Beautiful hotel in all ways!! Would go back anytime, but my partner wants to go to a different country next year, as she has not travelled much before. I have no qualms about this hotel and will be back again one day, definitely!! Thank you for two great holidays this year.
