Aqua Pedra Dos Bicos

Firstly this is not a "Brits Abroad" Hotel is populated by a nice variety of locals and general Europeans. It is immaculately clean and well services in all areas. The breakfast is fantastic with cold fresh orange juice, great coffee, fresh fruits, meat and cheese and also hot items like bacon, sausage etc. The rooms are wonderfully air conditioned and clean with good showers and plenty of storage. Safes in room are free and easy to operate. Pool area can get busy but with plenty of loungers available. This can be taken advantage of by people blocking off four loungers when there are only two people but I guess that can happen anywhere. Drinks at the Bar are pricey but with an excellent Supermarket just round the corner that isn't a big problem. All the Staff are friendly and helpful.... Enjoy if you are lucky enough to go there!!

This is a gem of a hotel, beautiful décor inside, arrived on the 4th august mid morning our room wasn't ready but that was expected but an hour later we were given the card we were in room 333 yes the balcony is a tad small & the view is not spectacular but it was still very nice to sit out & enjoy looking out on the distant places & part of the sea,the rooms are great the beds are massive air con free safe & also the use of the towels for the pool, the breakfast selection each day was tremendous anyone who complains about this must be off their heads, the maids and staff were very polite this hotel is situated in an ideal spot WOULD DEFO COME BACK HERE

Fab location, friendly staff, cool pool area, very relaxing. Pool bar and food was lush with loads of choice and smoothies. Perfect place to relax with hubby. Even in peak season dinner was quiet and relaxing. Breakfast has an unbelievable choice and very well stocked. The staff make this place! Clean room, pianist / musician playing for dinner and by the pool. Rude French couple ruined the pool fun for some friends who were playing bat and ball but other than that, super! Thank you!!

I stayed here with my boyfriend as we were visiting Portugal for a wedding. The hotel is in a great location. Not too far from the airport, the beach, shops and bars etc and only a short ride in a taxi to old town or the Marina. We used uber a lot as it was easier and so cheap! The rooms were comfortable and spacious, pool towels were provided which was good and there were plenty of toiletries provided. There is also a mini fridge which is quite reasonable in the room. There is room service which is good however we didn't use this. Breakfast was tasty with lots of variety. The pool is very quiet and relaxing, I thought drinks were a little more than expected around the pool though. All in all we had a great experience here. We booked a pool/sea view room and stayed in 424. Nice balcony with sun until lunchtime! The pool view rooms may have a better view but everyone in the pool area can see you on your balcony whereas the sea view was more private!

Having searched for Adult only hotels, this one came highly recommended. It was well placed near the beach and near to both the quiet and club areas.

This was our first time staying at the Hotel and we weren't disappointed. The hotel was excellent. Reception staff were fantastic and helpful. Our room was great it had a huge bed and was comfy too so we had great sleeps. The Breakfast was very good; lots of choice to suite anyone. No sunbed rush in the mornings which was good. Free towels, WiFi and Safe was a winner. The location was brilliant just where we like to be as we have been to Praia da Oura lots of times. The only small issue was in the room the plugs are at one end of the room and the mirror at the other.
I would recommend this hotel as we had a fantastic stay and holiday. We will definitely come back for another visit.

My partner and I stayed here for 3 nights during a weeklong vacation with friends in Portugal. None of us had ever been to The Algarve before, so we really just relied on sites like TripAdvisor and the reviews here to figure out where to stay.

Everything was as nice as could be for our stay. Most of the staff was always friendly, smiling and helpful. The room was clean and comfortable-for the most part. Our particular room had terrible water pressure in the shower, and the A/C never really cooled the room. We did address the A/C situation with the Front Desk, but nothing really ever changed. We did not address the water pressure issue. We travel a lot and we expect some glitches; this trip, these were our glitches. No big deal and it would not deter me from booking this hotel again.

The location was very good for going into town, but not the best for going to the beach. Again, no big deal.....you just have to walk a little more. The view from the room (we had the Deluxe Sea View Room) was great, and if we had had more time in the room we would have enjoyed sitting on the balcony.

We ate the breakfast buffet every morning and it was a very nice European-style spread. Don't miss it! Also had lunch near the pool one day; food was just OK, but for a hotel we thought the price was more than reasonable.

We want to give a special shout out to Flavia at the Tours Desk. She guided us so that we did not miss some spectacular sightseeing in the area that we would have otherwise missed. Thank You, Flavia!!!

We would definitely book this hotel again if we had to do it all over again!

We stayed here for a week in July and were very happy with the hotel. The room was excellent and very clean. Breakfast was always very good and the food at the pool bar was very good. The only slight issue is there isn't massive amounts of space around the pool, but all in all an excellent hotel with superb staff.

Stayed here with 15 other guys on a weekend golf trip. The hotel is absolutely fantastic - very modern and stylish. Things got off to a good start when we arrived - even though we were early and check in wasn't supposed to be until 3pm they managed to get all but 4 of our party checked in. The other 4 were in within the hour. The chilled water cooler on arrival is a nice touch too as we were parched after our journey. Reception staff throughout our stay were excellent - very friendly. The rooms were lovely - very clean and again very modern. We had a sea view which was nice. Pool area was excellent too with a nice clean toilet/shower area. Breakfast was adequate but nothing to write home about. Hotel is in a great location as only a 10 minute walk to the strip and a short walk down to the beach (though not really suitable for the less abled as it's quite a steep hill with steps). I would definitely return to this hotel if going to Albufeira though next time I might treat the wife :-)

This hotel is one of the most beautiful I have ever stayed in. So different and quirky design, the bar area is stunning.

On arrival the staff on reception were so helpful and we were given lots of local information and a map of the area.
Our room was lovely and a great size, bathroom was very modern. The only issue we had was the air con wasn’t great but we were comfortable enough.

The pool area is nice and chilled exactly what we wanted. The pool is maybe a little bit too cold but refreshing after hours of sunbathing. The staff at the bar were great too.

The wine tasting and BBQ nights are definitely worth going to. Great food and drinks and singer providing entertainment throughout.

The walk from the back of the pool area to the beach was our favourite, some Freya views but be careful on the steps.

Location is perfect, we walked to the old town once but taxis are so cheap we ended up doing that.

Would definitely recommend for couples or friends wanting good quality accommodation with excellent service :)

This was our second time to stay at this hotel and the rooms are great and so are the breakfasts only negatives are large groups of noisy lads and for some strange reason a live DJ at the pool on Saturday afternoon playing loud night club music - not the sort of thing you want when trying to have a relaxing day by the pool.

Great place. Superb location. Spotlessly clean. Lovely pool area. Lack of parasol tho. Gluten free bread available upon request. Coupd not fault this place. Superb. Beach was down some steps. But lovely place. With a beach club for meals and drinks.

We have just returned from a 12day stay at the Aqua Pedra Bicos Hotel in Albufeira, The hotel is spotlessly clean, the beds very comfortable and the rooms very sound proof. All the staff were exceptionally friendly & helpful especially Ricardo & Lisandro at the pool bar. We were half board & the breakfast was very good but we did not realise the evening meal was waiter service & fine dining. I am afraid we prefer buffet style & would have gone bed & breakfast if we had known. But the hotel it self is excellent.

This hotel really is first class, check in was fast and our room was very nice. The staff really are a credit to the hotel and all are helpful and pleasant, The Wi-Fi and room safe are also included free.
Breakfast in the restaurant was good with plenty of options , but does get quite busy after 8:30 Am , I cannot comment on the evening meals as we were on the b&b option.
The bar area is a also great place to relax and lounge about with a drink and the prices are reasonable.
My birthday fell during our stay and I returned to my room on the day to find a cake and compliments card which was a nice touch.
I would be more than happy to recommend this hotel and hope to return again one day.

*Tip - Give " The Strip " a miss and head to the old town,it is a much better vibe and atmosphere in my opinion,

Stayed at the hotel last week with some very good friends and have to say it’s just perfect. From the extremely polite staff to the chilled environment. It’s spotlessly clean with lots of space to relax. The restaurant is excellent. Buffet Breakfast very extensive with totally fresh selection available at all times. The pool area is beautiful with plenty of loungers and relaxing heated pools. Food from the pool restuarant is great. Lovely selection of pizza, burgers, wraps and salads at reasonable prices. Rooms very comfortable and beds perfect. Air con in rooms worked well and kept us cool day and night. We enjoyed the live music in the bar lounge area which created a lovely ambience on an evening. Would definitely stay at the Aqua Pedra dos Bicos Hotel again. Thank you to all the staff who should be proud of creating a memorable experience for my friends and I.

I loved this hotel. So fab, so fancy, easy & simple check in, hotel room was perfect for us, twin beds, ample space to unpack, large bathroom with a great shower. Balcony was lovely, got the sun in the evening after we came up from the pool. We had breakfast included, such a selection, cooked breakfast, breads, cold meats, cheeses, cereals, fruits annnnnnnd Prosecco!!! Loved the pool area, & the bar, can’t recommend the frozen daiquiris made by Ricardo highly enough!! We had lunch at the hotel most days too, so lovely!! Loved the added bonus of a DJ by the pool on Saturday too!!! Am rolling my eyes at some of the less complementary reviews here, could not find fault in the hotel from start to finish, already looking at coming back, thanks Aqua!!!
