2nd visit can’t wait for the 3rd!
This was our second visit to the vanity golf hotel. Stayed last August and stayed this August both for a weeks stay. This is the first time we have ever returned to the same hotel we have previously stayed in, as it was so good the first time couldn’t help going back! Upgrades this time to a Seaview room Absolutely amazing hotel, right on the beach, best place on Alcudia to stay. Hotel exceptionally clean staff are amazing, pools clean, rooms spotless. We have just enquiried to return again next year for a week. Thank you vanity golf for another fantastic holiday, hopefully see you in 2019.
Vanity Golf.... excellent experience!!
Just returned from our second visit to this fabulous hotel and are currently making plans to return.
The location, practically on the beach, the very high standard of room with premium frontal sea view/ pool view and the outstanding service and choice at breakfast was excellent. Reception staff were very professional, friendly and helpful as were the bar and restaurant staff (restaurant could be a little brighter in decoration) and the lovely lady who provided a daily check on our room providing fresh towels and sheets but best of all was the service at the pool provided by Veronica the life guard.
Veronica, a very professional, friendly, knowledgeable, helpful and genuinely lovely person worked to a very high standard every day making sure the guests were safe and comfortable while around the pool area, in my opinion a great asset to the hotel. Patry the lovely, friendly, chatty girl who smiled and laughed all day provided optional entertainment daily around the pool area such as aqua aerobics and the “Cocktail Game” is also a valuable member of the team.
All in all the hotel and staff provided us with everything we required for a truly relaxing holiday to celebrate our 30th wedding anniversary.
A special thank you to Veronica and Patry, we hope to see you on our next visit.
Fantastic but pay extra for a room safe.
A lovely hotel situated in possibly the best location in Alcudia. A stones throw from the gorgeous beach and a short amble from the port.
In my opinion it’s the perfect hotel for couples over 55... except we’re sisters, younger and definitely not a couple but we welcomed a retreat from both out sets of kids for the week.
The rooms are large, modern and clean. We were at the back of the hotel on the first (ground) floor and we’re relieved that we opted to pay extra for the safe because while we were at dinner, our room (and 3 others) got burgled. The thief entered through the locked balcony door and helped himself to whatever he could. It was all caught on cctv. I recommend you opt for a room higher up the hotel and most definitely pay the extra €3 a night for the safe. Luckily the hotel wasn’t at full capacity and they moved us. A chance encounter with the manager the next day meant we got a complimentary dinner at the link bar / restaurant next door called Mira Blau. I’ve written a separate review on the excellent Mira Blau.
The hotel reception staff are extremely polite and professional and some go above and beyond (Xavi, thank you).
The food is varied, fresh and lovely quality which made us happy that we had chosen to go half board.
The entertainment is pleasant but it gets a bit samey with easy listening music every night... they could spice it up a bit.
The pool and the pool area is wonderful. We were always able to get a sun bed and the lifeguard Veronica provided us with towels which was lucky as we had packed so many clothes, we didn’t have room to bring towels with us. Veronica was brilliant and we enjoyed our daily chats with her. She made sure the outdoor operations ran smoothly.. practically singlehandedly.
Patri from day time entertainment was a bright spark, bubbly, smiley and a ball of energy who involved us in competitions, darts, ping pong, aqua aerobics and circuit training. Such a lovely girl.
I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend his hotel and if I get the chance to have a child free holiday again, I wouldn’t hesitate to go back.
Great expirience as always.
We went for a three week holiday with half-board for the sixth time to this hotel.
The staff made our stay very nice as always - superior service - clean rooms and hotel. Great dining both at breakfast and dinner. We recommend half-board because the food is excellent.
The stay was topped by a lifeguard that made the stay at the pool both fun and entertaining. Thanks, Veronica - the best lifeguard ever :-)
We will be back next year for sure.
We’ve just returned from a fabulous 10 night bed and breakfast stay at Vanity Golf.
The location is absolutely superb and the views from the balcony above the pool were sensational. The rooms were spotlessly clean and maid service was very efficient. Tea and coffee in the room would be nice and a more generous replacement of bath and shower products without having to ask would have made it all the more comfortable but overall can’t complain. It’s a short walk from some excellent restaurants, shops and bars and plenty of local activities to do.
The restaurant and food choice for breakfast was great, some staff seemed unwelcoming but Teresa, Lina and Jenni were amazing and made the environment welcoming for us. Maybe the other staff could learn from their great hosting skills?
The pool area was made ‘Outstanding’ it was clean and very comfortable. But what made this area the best we have ever experienced was Veronica the lifeguard, she was so welcoming and attentive. She took the time to get to know us, answered all the queries we had with the utmost professionalism and was always available to answer any questions we had. She worked very hard all day, tidying, clearing up bar glasses, sorting towels, handing out and collecting frozen towels, checking everyone was ok and keeping us safe. Veronica made us feel at home and made us want to come back to this beautiful setting. She is a very valuable member of the team and without her presence we wouldn’t have enjoyed our stay as much as we did! She deserves a lot of credit for what she does! Thank-you Veronica.
Carmen and Iris also worked very hard cleaning outside and always had a hello and a smile which makes all the difference to us paying guests.
The reception staff were very efficient and helped whenever and wherever they could even when I got a little stressed over some issue they were quick to support and effective at getting things just right. Thank-you to them too.
Many thanks all!
As a point of reflection for whoever takes the time to read this; - I was uncomfortable with the horses being used to ferry tourists up and down Alcúdia as they seemed lame, tired, hot and generally not well looked after as a prestigious hotel I was wondering if there was anything anyone could do to support these horses to get a better working life? If there’s anything further I could do to support this I’d be more than happy to do so as I feel this activity protracted from the elegance of such a lovely resort.
We loved the location, directly next to the beach. Staff great. Room lovely, exactly as on their Web site, air conditioning worked very well. A nice touch was 2 free beers, cokes and bottles of water in the mini fridge. Beds so comfy. A choice of 5 different pillows. We couldn't have asked for more. Food really good, we did half board, the only thing which would be nice is to be able to have your coffee or tea at your table in the evening instead of having to sit in the lounge or bar. Beach towels available to use around the pool. Small frozen towels handed out around 11.30am, lovely to cool you down while sitting in the sun. Alcudia is a lovely holiday spot. Would definitely recommend.
This is our absolute favorite hotel located at the beach in lovely Alcudia. Everything so clean and the staff is very nice and serviceminded, the lifeguard Veronica is proffesional and know how to make you feel good and safe and always with a positive attitude, she know how to make you feel comfortable and relaxed during your holidays. The pool is so nice and clean. Not to mention the breakfast which is splendid.
last 2 weeks June
Super holiday absolutely perfect., staff excellent , position of the hotel A1, this was our 6th visit.,and we will be coming back again in the near future.Beds particularly comfortable.English T V channels are available.
This is the 5th year running that we have stayed at this hotel and it just get better and better every year. Lugi the Manager leads a excellent team of staff who are so happy and good at their jobs that they make you feel that you are staying at their home. I could mention various people who made our stay fantastic but Veronica the lifeguard who brought a lady back to life who had a heart attack, who I understand is making a full recovery deserves a special mention. Thanks to all the staff we miss you all ready and will see you all next year.
Brillant location,good staff,tranquil location
Really good hotel with everything you would want for a peaceful relaxing holiday. From reception( Fabian) through the restaurant ( Antoni) and housekeeping the staff were so thoughtful and wanting to make our stay just right.
This hotel is not for the all night partying crowd which really suited us.
We spent most of our time at the pool rather than the beach and this was a good decision as we met the vibrant Veronica . She is a real tonic walking around keeping tabs on everyone ,chatting and ensuring we were safe and enjoying ourselves. Once we got used to her Scottish/Spanish accent we really enjoyed her.
She was also a good guide to the area ,where to go where to eat etc.
It is a very short walk , 10 yards to a beautiful beach with sun shades and loungers, they cost €6.50 per person per day. Their are enough loungers at the hotel around the pool for guests. On a Monday it is crowded as part of the area is reserved for the evening banquet ,thats a good day to use the beach. The town centre is a 4 minute walk away .
Rooms were spacious, clean, quiet and well maintained. Did talk with one couple who were in a side room and had problems with the heat as the air con could not be lowered to a comfortable 18degrees.
There is a large supermarket 100 yards from the hotel ,Eroski, well stocked ,clean and welcoming ,just turn left at the main door. You can get the coffee capsules for the machine in your room at a fraction of the cost in the hotel. If required you can request a kettle for the room with tea as well.
The manager is very much a hands on person, walking around checking and available to guests,a plus in any hotel .
Overall we would say this is a really excellent hotel well worth an other visit.
Miss Annette Ruddock
Excellent hotel, very tranquil and chilled away from the normality of city life. Stayed here for the passed five years because of the lovely staff who are always happy to help and are very friendly and kind. Lovely warm welcome on arrival by Fabian the receptionist. All at reception very friendly and Anna the newest member at reception is very sweet.
The food has a different theme each evening with lots of selections to choose from (spoilt for choice). A special outdoor gala one night each week is beautifully executed and a night to remember. A lot of thought and effort goes into this by the staff.
Sunbathing area has a lovely relaxed feeling and a fantastic view of the beach. Veronica the lifeguard is a massive thumb up for myself and family.
Will be returning again next year for two weeks living the dream as my mum and I say ❤️
Just back from a lovely break at this amazing hotel, we spent 2 weeks relaxing by the pool with the odd rainy or cloudy day but that did not stop anybody. First of all, thank you to Veronica the lifeguard for her lovely personality and making us feel at home, she is a credit to the place and always willing to help anyone. She gave us advice on where to eat and recomended us a few amazing places, we also had lunch at the mirblau the hotel’s beach bar which was ok, but a bit overpriced, and thanks to Aaron for his great service.
The hotel is perfect from the start till the end, thank you to Xavi and Ana from reception, can’t really say the same for the other chap, who was a bit rude.
Also thank you to a great service always at the dinning room from Jenni and Meri who was in charge of the food.
The entertainment, well what can I say, what entertainment? We always waited around the pool expecting someone to come out to play darts or golf but the entertainer was never arround, the only day we saw her arround the pool is the day the male lifeguard was there and she was
more interested in him rather than the clients. I think someone more focused in doing activities or talking with the clients would be perfect.
The only bad review about the hotel is maybe the size of the bathroom, I would prefer a walking in shower instead of a bath and then I would maybe change furniture at the dinning room and give it another fresh look. But the hotel was always kept clean and spotless. We will deffo come back next year, see you all in 2019!
Highly Valued Vanity Golf Experience
We have recently returned from this beautiful Hotel.
From being welcomed by the ‘ muy estimado’ Victor on our arrival , until our sad departure one week later, we wanted for nothing.
Everyone of the staff greeted us with a smile on a daily basis and a genuine interest and desire to meet our every need.
We found the Hotel, clean fresh and inviting; from the delightful aroma which permeated Reception to the glorious floral arrangements. It’s the attention to details that make this place stand in a league of its own.
However, we believe it’s the people always that make a place so we would like to mention our new and valued friend , our Lifeguard Veronica. She is an absolute gem. Apart from helping me with my passion for speaking Spanish she truly made our holiday. She never stops smiling, is kind, helpful with a great sense of humour. We looked forward to seeing her in the beautiful gardens and pool area which she takes immense pride in.
We felt truly blessed to be so well attended to and she made us feel so at home.
Hasta la proxima!
Absolutely Wonderful Hotel & Staff
I returned home from this wonderful hotel 6 days ago, I'm missing it already.
On arrival at the hotel I was given a very warm welcome by their very friendly Receptionist called Xavi. Xavi gave me a lovely glass of chilled prosecco, which I thoroughly enjoyed and appreciated. As Xavi checked me in, he informed me of the layout of the hotel, meal times, activities available etc. By the time I had finished my prosecco I already felt at home and that I was a very welcome guest. Xavi was very cheerful and obviously happy in his job. Thank you Xavi, it really was the best welcome I have ever received at any hotel.
I was impressed with the cleanliness of the entire hotel and gardens, absolutely spotless. My room was wonderful and had a balcony facing the pool/hotel garden and the beach. I felt relaxed and very comfortable in my room, the balcony chairs were comfortable too. I slept extremely well in the comfortable bed. You even have the option to choose different pillows if you don't like the pillows provided. I found the pillows provided to be extremely comfortable. There are a couple of bottles each of beer, coke and water in the room fridge which are complementary, as well as some little cakes. The room is cleaned daily and fresh towels are provided daily if you need them. You can also pick up a blue towel each day to use by the pool if you wish to, at no extra cost. As this is an adult only hotel there are no noisy children playing, swimming or splashing in the pools so you really can just lie back on the comfortable sun beds or swim in the pool and relax.
The whole hotel and garden has a very relaxed feeling to it. The hotel garden has a private gate leading directly onto the beautiful white sand beach. In the hotel garden there are showers, toilets, foot showers to remove any sand from your feet as you return from the beach, a jacuuzi and a sauna. The hotel bar is just inside a door close to the pool, you can help yourself to free chilled prosecco from the bar all day every day. I certainly had my fair share, especially on the occasions I went for a swim and relaxed on the sun bed.
Veronica, the life guard is an absolute treasure. Veronica is always smiling, cheerful and happy to chat and share information of the hotel activities and local area. As I was travelling alone, my chats with Veronica around the pool were very welcome and fun. Now that I've met this lovely lady, I can see why she gets so many lovely mentions on previous reviews. The Activity Co-ordinator Madelene was also very friendly and chatty with me when she saw me relaxing by the pool.
I have to comment on all of the staff at this wonderful hotel. Every one of them are very friendly and smile alot, they will all go out of their way to help you. I can't wait to return to this hotel in it's beautiful position right on the beach with a short walk to the marina. Bars and restaurants are plentiful as you walk to the local marina, however, as I was half board and the hotel food was so good and plentiful, I didn't have room in my stomach to eat in any local restaurants. There are also some small supermarkets close by.
I will definately be returning to this wonderful hotel. Well done to all the staff, you've got everything just right. Oh, and.......long live the free prosecco. See you all again asap.
"Amazing hotel with good service and outstanding food"
We have just returned from a 6 night break and came for the Iron Man event. We stayed in a Royal Terrace room on the top floor and the room was very lovely with bedroom down stairs with a balcony and then an upstairs terrace with sunbeds and Jacuzzi hot tub. This was one of the best rooms we have stayed in as great views to watch the Iron Man event and relax on the terrace. All of the staff were very friendly and helpful and nothing was too much trouble. My husband did the Iron Man event and on the day, breakfast was available from 4.30am and the manager was present wishing all the athletes good luck. The food was outstanding for breakfast and dinner with so much choice and the food was the best food we have eaten in Europe on a half board or All Inclusive hotel. There was a lovely buzz in the hotel during the Iron Man event and there was something for everyone to do with yoga and daily activities. We have never stayed in an adults only hotel and the free champagne in the afternoon was nice and it was very quite to relax. Would highly recommend this hotel.
Well, where do I start! Came here last minute with some friends, first impression was great, Fabian at reception gave us a good welcome, went up to our rooms, and have to say they were very nice, bathroom was a bit to small but the rest was great, comfy bed, good tv, and a nice balcony with views, and at night not to much noise so good sleep. The dinning room looks a bit old fashioned but food was of an excellent quality! The hotel is mostly german people so not many english speaking, but you always find someone who will speak english to you. Although the weather some of the days was not to good we were able to enjoy the pool area and Veronica the lifeguard gave us loads of advice on what to do apart from sunbathing so the days the weather was not great we just did a few trips. If you need someone with good english speak to her, she is lovely and chatty and will help with everything she can. She also recommended us to eat in mirablau, the beach bar belonging to the hotel and I have to say food was top! And a nice setting to eat watching the views... thank you to the waiters there for everything. In general a great hotel, I will have to try to come in summer when the weather is hot. Mostly german or scandinavian people but if you are going to relax with a friend you do not need anyone else :)
We had a great honeymoon!!!!
Just spent 7 nights half board. Great and nice location for staying and relaxing .Lovely hotel close to the beach, super food, very comfortable beds, lovely clean surroundings and above all, the team is super nice and helpful "especially Veronica"!!!
Would definitely recommend!!
My wife and I had a lovely stay here. Great facilities, delicious food and most importantly, wonderful and friendly staff. The perfect place to stay if you are looking to relax and unwind. Specific shout out goes to the bar staff and lifeguard Veronica for their hospitable demeanour and high quality chat offerings
Just come back last sunday
Very nice and almost luxuries hotel, almost because it was missing couples things to make that hotel fully amazing. First is the fact is no free coffe and tea in he rooms...you can pay over 5€ for pack of earl grey tea plus over 1€ for crema or you can buy of them senseo coffe pods for over10€... trick is you cant buy them anywhere in supermarket to be cheeky... another annoying thing is water from tap is not good to dronk then for having a tea you need buy water in bottle to...nightmare...but you have most of the day free champagne . The all that facts about drinks put me off a little. We didn't know that half board dont have included drinks on dinner what add big extra bill on the end of holiday...But...besides the drinks side all was lovely, food fresh lots of fish and seafood type, fresh salads and fruits, very nice hard working waitresses, room nice and cosy, only bathrooms small and need new tuch and refurbishment. We didnt had very good weather mostly, very windy, cold, no chance to use pool. Overall hotel is clean, nice looking, quiet, close to town and all shops. Is quite small hotel then you feel discreet witch is good , is not type of big big hotel, is cosy and you feel good there. I will come back, after they give tea and coffe for free in rooms
Another great stay at the Vanity Hotel Golf
This was our fourth stay at this hotel, and we enjoyed it as much as the others. The hotel and it's staff never disappoint - always friendly and helpful. This is a tribute to it's management style and it's great attitude to focussing on the needs of it's guests. There's lots of nice little touches, like the glass of Cava on arrival, the big bowl of fresh fruit on the reception desk which guests are free to take from, the free smoothie at the pool late in the afternoon, the free Cava from 10am to 6pm. I could go on.
We were there to do some cycling, and were pleased to be able to use the new bike station across the road. It's more secure than the previous one (the door always seemed to be left open), with card access sliding doors (a metal shutter also comes down at night), and is well equipped with tools, pumps, water, degreaser, paper towels. Disposable gloves would have been great for those of us who have to assemble our own bike, but that's just a minor point.
The food here is great - It's a buffet system, with something for everyone, and there's plenty of it too. There was even some very nice food for vegans, which I tried too. The dress code for evening dinner is casual smart, so no beachwear allowed.
Our room this year was on the outside wing nearest to the road. Initially slightly disappointed, it turned out to be very private, and interesting to see the comings and goings along the road. It was also quiet at night. The room itself was up to the same high standard as the other rooms we've had in past years.
This hotel is a classy, very calm and low key place, with (generally) well behaved guests. There's no music pumping out at the pool, or groups of people drinking there all day and making a nuisance of themsleves. Also, if you're after lively evening entertainment then you're probably best staying elsewhere - there's plenty of those sorts of places nearby.
I'm looking forward to staying next year already.
Hotel Vanity Golf
From start to finish of our holiday we found the Vanity Golf Hotel perfect for our Requirements.
The arrival check in was quick and informative,
Rooms are Clean and comfortable and well serviced daily
The restaurant is excellent ,loved the fresh pasta cooked to order .The staff are attentive polite and friendly.
The pool area is great as you can just take a stroll onto the beach plus a glass or two of complementary Cava is available daily around the pool
The plus point for myself was the Cycle Garage ,its across the road has secure bike racks and entry is by key card only plus is locked down overnight.
it also has track pumps basic tools if you require them and clean down facilities for you're bike.
The hotel location as a base for cycling is excellent .
Thanks for giving us a Great Holiday
We aim to Return in the near future.
Mallorca is an island of contrasts. Considered by many as one of the most beautiful places in Spain, the island is a place where to get lost and live a unique experience. The 550 kilometres of coastline is home to everything from long beaches of white and ochre sand in the south-east, with full amenities and services, to the hidden coves in the north, marvellous beauty spots for the more adventurous visitor.
The island is rich in culture and activities, so you won’t be short of things to see and do while you are here. There are many different international festivals of classical music, jazz, pop, and rock. All this and more can be experienced with a visit to one of many cultural events.
Activities like crazy golf, tree top adventure, paintballing and go-karting are some of the most popular. Perhaps you would be tempted by with some rock climbing, coasteering or mountain biking.
Spending one or two days discovering Palma de Mallorca is a must when visiting Mallorca. You can also go on a tour of a distinctive City Sightseeing open-top bus, which gives you a great overview of Mallorca’s capital.
With 262 beaches around the island, Mallorca is a paradise for the sun, sand, and sea lover. Long sandy beaches can be found on all the coasts except for the west, which is dominated by cliffs and rocky coves. For pretty sandy coves with sparkling seas, head to the east coast.
Stroll around one of Mallorca’s beautiful small villages and you’ll feel as though you’ve stepped back in time. Try the legendary towns of Deià and Valldemossa, hidden in the hills of the Tramuntana mountain. Sóller has amazing architectural gems and a rich history.
