Amazing Adults Only Hotel!
We’ve just got home from a lovely 3 nights stay at this hotel. It’s a fantastic hotel in a brilliant location being walking distance from the Old Quarter, Orange Square and the Marina.
Rooms are clean and spacious and we had a lovely sea view. They made the room extra special upon knowing it was our honeymoon by leaving us rose petals on the bed and a bottle of bubbly.
The beach club is fantastic with great service and friendly staff. We tried the food once for lunch but unfortunately it wasn’t great so didn’t eat there again. The breakfast included is plentiful and tasty. The stay included a visit to the hydrotherapy spa which was amazing and so relaxing. Overall great stay and we wouldn’t hesitate to book again.
Just Book It
Truly exceptional stay and we're seasoned travelers with high standards. While staying in Malaga in INTENSELY HOT summer weather, drove to Marbella seeking a nice hotel to switch to a beach vacation. Staff VERY helpful getting us the best price, showing us possible rooms, and eager to help with whatever we needed our entire stay. Impressed! Room well designed and balcony/view both great, morning buffet excellent variety but arrive no later than 9:00ish to beat the crowd. Outdoor spaces (beach and pool) were wonderful with always enough loungers. LOVED the service buzzer to push for food or drinks. Day beach/pool menu offered really good choices, well-priced and delicious. Enjoyed the rooftop bar in the evening with the very generous "pours" overlooking the sea. Valeria, the hairdresser was great for haircuts and haircolor for me and the spa also enjoyable. A short walk to the wonderful Old City for drinks/dinner/shopping was a big added bonus. WE LOVED IT Also loved that the Old City is within close walking distance.
Felt parking could have been a little less costly. Beach good, but were surprised how dirty the Med Sea is along this coastal area of Spain - no fault of the hotel. Perhaps it was just very stirred up for some reason during our stay.
Great hotel for a relaxing break in the sun
My wife, sister-in-law and I stayed here at the beginning of September for a relaxing week away in the sun. Both my wife and sister-in-law have stayed here previously, so based on their experience my expectations were high. The hotel did not disappoint!
The hotel itself is very nicely designed; interior and exterior are well laid out (though one small criticism is that there isn’t a great deal of circulation / walking space between some sun lounger areas outside). The pool is relatively small, but still very good (and there’s obviously the option of the Amare beach area / sea). Our rooms were well laid out with all the facilities you’d expect (room safe, tea making facilities, mini bar, etc.).
Staff are excellent, friendly and emphasis on customer service obviously high on the agenda. The food is very good and of a high quality. The location is excellent and the old town (with its numerous great restaurants and shops) is a 5-10 minute stroll away. As part of our stay we had complimentary access to the spa for an afternoon (or morning). The spa is small, but well laid out and has all the facilities you’d expect (hydro pool, jacuzzi, steam rooms, relaxation area, treatment room, etc.), again staff here were friendly and helpful.
All in all a very relaxing and thoroughly enjoyed holiday. The hotel is first class and the staff are a credit. Will definitely be returning.
Gorgeous Hotel
This is the second time we have stayed at the Amare. I absolutely love this hotel, the quality of product here is just brilliant. The service is excellent, the rooms are spotless, really modern and well appointed. The amenities are brilliant and plentiful. The pool area and sun beds are brilliant and service by the pool is excellent, food and drink is also very good indeed and breakfast is wonderful. There is a beach club as well as a spa and gym and roof top bar. Totally brilliant in everything they do. Amazing value for money and I can’t wait to come back and stay again. Thank you for a wonderful stay again!!
3 day break in paradise
Perfect location, this adult only hotel exudes class. From the moment you step into the reception you are welcomed and looked after. We chose to use the beach beds by the sea , so comfortable and staff on hand to serve food and drinks. The breakfast was to die for , so much choice. The rooftop bar on 9th floor a bonus. The restaurant in the evening very pleasant. The spa experience ok. The only criticism was the room was a little basic. Would have been nice to have a robe. However the staff exceeded all expectations. Stunning views.
Wonderful stay at Amare Marbella
We loved this modern beach front adults only hotel. Super trendy look, updated and it looks fresh and new. Good location too (short walk to old town and orange square etc). We had “the one ooh la la sea view” and it had a beautiful view. The shower was the only strange thing, it’s kind of in the room (versus enclosed separate bathroom) and is completely glass and open. Not necessarily bad but we prefer enclosed separate showers just personal taste.
The One lounge could also use more variety in wine beer and alcohol it’s very limited in selection. Regardless we loved the hotel and the staff and service was excellent. One thing that stood out in every city we visited in Spain is how warm and friendly and kind the people are, and this hotel definitely is true to that.
Great hotel on the beach
We paid for a Seaview and were lucky enough to have a large corner balcony on level 8 with views of both the mountains and the sea. It made our stay. Friends said their rooms were not as nice.
The hotel itself has excellent facilities, a great pool area with live music for an hour or so on some days. The hotel also has direct access to the beach, and is a short walk from the old town.
Everywhere else needs a taxi, which is about 15€ to Puerto Banús, and a little less to Puerto Romano.
We had an amazing time and would highly recommend Amare.
Very smart and clean
Lovely hotel with excellent and friendly staff.
As everyone has already said the breakfasts are the best with eggs/omelettes cooked to order.
We were half board but the evening meal was a disappointment due to the restricted menu (although the food itself was fine).
We have it a miss after a few days and went to restaurants instead. However the staff noticed this and offered us two nights at the buffet in their sister hotel down the road, which was excellent.
There was an art exhibition on in the hotel while we were there which gave the public areas more character otherwise everything would have been too white.
Pool is okay but crammed with beds.
Both bars very nice and reasonably priced.
Ps the walk to Puerto Banus along the seafront is very nice but very long! It is around 6k and a long way to go in 35 degree heat. (Although there are many bars on the way!)
Lovely place
No faults. No saving sun beds for more than half hour although people are getting away with an hour or more as it’s not enforced but generally not a problem. Breakfast buffet perfect. Staff friendly but not in your face. Drinks brought to your chair with a press of a button . Food super amazing.
Amazing service
Had a lovely stay at Amàre. The service is impeccable and staff is always friendly. The beach club is very comfortable and so is the pool area. The breakfast buffet has a lot of variety and is very flavorful. Also beautiful rooftop bar!
The only 2 issues I had was the fact that my boyfriend and I got stung by a jellyfish in the beach while there and the staff didn’t have any first aid on hand or recommendations. The other thing was that the beds were really comfortable but were two twins put together instead of a joint queen sized bed, which made it a bit hard for my boyfriend and I to sleep.
Overall a very good and luxurious stay!
Amare Marbella 6/8/2018-11/8/2018
I visited this hotel with my daughter.
I can’t fault this hotel from the taxi transfers to and from the airport to the hotel staff. Having read previous reviews, I was a little apprehensive re: rudeness, but all I can say is the rude staff must have been on holiday!! All staff are friendly and knowledgeable.
The hotel is clean and tidy. The private beach is a plus. As are the towel cards. I know I can’t wait to visit this hotel again. The complimentary bottle of wine was a nice surprise too!!
On a personal note - I would like to thank the hotel staff for being so welcoming and helpful :-) I have included some photographs from their restaurant, roof top bar, pool and obviously beach.
Lovely hotel
I have a hotel, not as big as this one.
I find being objective without comparison to be easy at The Amare.
From the very well spoken receptionists to room service and housekeeping to be excellent.
The pool, assistants, waiters etc all very good.
I was worried I’d be too old for the afternoon DJ but couldn’t be more wrong. Great music!
Everything about this hotel exceeded my expectations.
Ps breakfast is also very good.
Fantastic hotel
We stayed at the Amare last August for my wife’s birthday. The room was lovely, very spacious and the hotel was immaculate.
The food and service was fantastic and there were plenty of amenities.
If you want to stay near Marbella old town this is the ideal location right on the beach with its own beach club and rooftop bar. The only downside was probably the gym, which ideally could have been a little bigger sme more equipped.
club hotel and no children!
Hotel located near the beach. Old building well reconstructed. Rooms with sea view. Clean and light. Hotel recomended especially for people, who wants to forget about noice of children. It makes climate. Nice hotel pool club and beach club. With good service and temporary DJ playing modern club music.
The only minus is distance form important Night clubs of the region (if you want nightlife ;-) )
Birthday long weekend
My husband and I have just returned from a 3 night stay at the Amare. What a beautiful hotel, the grounds and facilities are excellent, great being so close to Marbella old town - definitely spend time there strolling through the little streets. The staff are very friendly, polite and efficient. It is a stylish, contemporary hotel but still with a very friendly apply. Breakfast is superb, never encountered such a vast array of choice!! Loved the afternoon DJ’s by the beach. What a way to spend your birthday, lazing on an extremely comfy sun bed, cocktail in hand listening to chilled out tunes! will definitely be back and recommend to anyone without doubt.
Incredible
Amazing place to stay! Helpful and welcoming staff. Inclusive breakfast buffet was absolutely amazing, would especially recommend! The towel service for the veach and poolside is an excellent ideal. Also extremely good cater for celiac. Much enjoyed stay.
Really nice and calm hotel
We stayed with my friend at Amare for 4 days and we really enjoyed our stay.
+ very quiet and peaceful place
+ very nice sunbeds by the pool ( You Still have to be a little bit on time to have a good place)
+ sunbeds at the sea
+ really nice choice of music by the pool
+ really good menu at the pool, the plates to share were amazing
+ rooftop bar with amazing view
+ very clean and beautiful room
+ friendly service
+ big choice at the breakfast buffet
+ friendly service
We also had soms negative remarks.
- the service at the pool was sometimes very slow
- we were quite cold at the rooftop bar and there were No hot drinks that we could order
- the hotel was quite far from puerto banus, and it would be Nice if They could provide Some kind of shuttle service
-it was expensive, we paid € 1 344 for a room for 2 for 4 nights
- the tv always went on When we came into the room with the most annoying loop of classical music
But in overall out stay was very pleasant!
Amazing hotel
First time myself and my husband have been away on our own without the kids in 18years. We booked a 4 night stay in this hotel. The hotel is beautiful the rooms were spotless clean. And breakfast there is a variety of fresh food that will suit everyone. The staff in the hotel all over were so nice, especially the girls who gave out the pool/beach towels. We also spent a few nights in the roof top bar which was stunning. I would highly recommend this hotel and cant wait till next to go back again. WOW
Great Holiday..
After lots of great reviews we opted for Amare and to try somewhere different on Spain's southern coast. Lovely welcome and room was already for us 2 hours early. We had the side see view with a nice balcony, rooms minimalist but functional with very comfy king size bed and spotlessly clean. Breakfast had a very good selection although Friday, Sat and Sun is very busy and you did have to queue to wait to be shown to your table but nothing too long. We are normally pool people but when we got there the beds were mainly taken so went to the beach club - stayed there for the entire 8 days - great beds and waiter buzzer service although again on the busy days sometimes a little slow getting around everyone - but if you were desperate you could always go get your own - lets face it not all hotels offer this! My big concern for this hotel was a few reviews saying the music was too loud, we found it to be something to look forward to everyday - the DJs had some great sets and had different musicians most days - brilliant - really good atmosphere and a good mix of people.
Would recommend...
Great Adult only getaway
Booked the hotel for a short 3 night break and was not disappointed. Decent sized clean rooms, although a little dated in some areas. Great pool and bar service and the beach club was pretty cool as well.
Did not stay in the hotel for dinner but breakfast buffet was really good.
Great location, right on the beach and a 5 min walk to the old town.
Lovely Visit (despite small disappointment at the end)
We stayed here for 6 nights in June, from Monday to Saturday. We noticed that during the week there were more couples but Friday/Saturday several “girls weekend away” groups arrived, some of which were quite large. This didn’t really affect our enjoyment, just a bit noisier at the beach. There is public parking available under the hotel, which is available at a reduced rate. We opted for “The One” room, which was a lovely modern airy room with a sea view and a small seating area, both inside and on the balcony. We were on the 4th floor, which we felt was high enough. The bed was huge and really comfortable, and the shower was wonderful - a large standing area and good water pressure. The room was stocked with Molton Brown toiletries and bath robes and the Wi-fi connection was strong throughout the room and hotel areas. With this room we had exclusive access to an area on the ground floor, (entry needed a room card) which was stocked with a range of alcohol and soft drinks as well as snacks throughout the day. This area was a good retreat from the pool and beach as it was nice and quiet, however, the view wasn’t great from the outside area so we didn’t stay there for very long. The breakfast was a lovely experience, very good quality and selection of food and drinks. The Nespresso machines dotted around were a really nice touch. The beach area was nicely set up, the sun beds were very comfortable and with onsite service for drinks etc. We visited the spa a couple of times (this is all part of “The One” package). It was okay for a short trip but not really big enough if there were more than 4 people in the pools. We didn’t eat an evening meal in the hotel so can’t comment on that. There is a Michelin Star restaurant next door, with very reasonable prices, which we hoped to visit but didn’t get there! The hotel is a short stroll from the Old Town and there is a nice bike ride along the beach to the next resort.
All the staff were very helpful and polite throughout the hotel. Our flight home meant that we didn’t leave the hotel until 6:00pm, even though we checked out in the morning we were given access to “The One” area - this was a lovely place to sit and have a drink before we left for the airport. The only disappointment was that I left my favourite cardigan and scarf on a sofa in this area when I got in the taxi but when I contacted the hotel to ask if it was there they couldn’t find it - this was somewhat surprising due to the very small number of staff/clients that had access to this area in the time frame - not sure what to make of that one! Overall, would recommend.
Marbella by the sea
Fantastic hotel, wonderful breakfast, amazing pool and beach club with music, great looking crowd and super convenient location to downtown Marbella which is full of excellent shops and restaurants. Rooms are very good yet not the prettiest. Overall, the hotel significantly enhanced our Marbella experience.
Service at its best
We travel as a family and have currently two rooms on the second floor - one with a superb sea view and another with a partial, but a splendid sea view as well. Perfect service, clean rooms and surroundings.
The reason for this review is mainly about the splendid personal service. We are on half board and have our meals at the Hayaca restaurant. My wife is allergic to fish, and often is in trouble with the offering. We talked about this with the staff the first night. This morning, I received a call from one of the managers, who personally arranged a side menu for tonight. At dinner, everything went smoothly, delicious meals, outstanding service and friendly staff. Great experience!
A great stay at Amare Marbella
We stayed at the Amare Marbella in June.
The staff here were so friendly and attentive. Yes, at times they were busy - especially at lunch, but you always got a service with a smile. We couldn't fault the staff at Amare Marbella.
We stayed in room 508, which had amazing side sea views. The room was clean, modern, with comfortable beds and we loved the built-in speakers!
The beach club had comfy sun beds and a buzzer to order food/drinks, which was a nice touch. During our stay, we had a live DJ on two of the days, which gave it a good vibe when relaxing.
We ate at the beach club everyday (quality food), it was pricy but you are staying at a 5 star resort. The hotel is close by to many restaurants and bars, so there is an option to eat out of the hotel.
Breakfast had an amazing variety of food and drink. Freshly squeezed orange juice was the best!
Overall a great stay from start to finish and wished we could of stayed longer. We will certainly be back one day.
They think of everything, don’t think twice it is worth every penny....
Just got back from here after a 4 night stay with my fiancée for her 40th Birthday celebration, from start to end it was faultless, the staff are amazing and clearly take pride in their work, always smiling and nothing was too much trouble, they knew it was my partners birthday and upgraded us to a room on the 9th floor and sent a bottle of bubbly up to celebrate.
There was an unbelievable sea view and free WiFi that works and Bluetooth speakers in the ceilings so you could stream your own music all over the room, a free safe and even a mobile phone you could use...unreal
There is chill out djs on the private beach club in the afternoon and service buttons next to you for cocktails or food to be brought to your sun-lounger, food, location, service everything was top notch, we were given a complementary spa session as well
Well done Amare you have cracked it and really set a benchmark on what a relaxing vacation is about.
Thank you Paul Mc and Sara
Take me back!
We’ve just returned from the most amazing five days at Amàre. The staff really go out of their way for you and nothing is too much trouble! The hotel is gorgeous and has such a nice relaxed feel. We loved the beach area and the sun beds are really big and comfy. The call for service button is such a good idea too! We liked their rule of not reserving sun beds and you can’t leave your bed for more than 15 minutes but this was fair and meant that you could always get bed when you needed one.
The breakfast is really good and has lots of choice. We didn’t eat in the evening but we had lunch twice and it was amazing.
The rooms are modern and very clean.
We are already planning to return!!
Very Hip boutique hotel
Me & my wife stayed at the Amare Beach Hotel for 4 nights in early June.
It would appear the hotel has undergone a complete renovation as it is very modern, minimalistic & boutique style and has been done to a very high standard.
The hotel is on the beach & has its own private beach area where the beach restaurant is located, during our stay on two afternoons we had a live Dj playing on the beach which was great.
One of the few hotels that enforces no towels to be put out early on sun beds, this means there are always sun beds available, well done Amare.
The Amare is about a 20/25 minute Adi ride to Puerto Banus, taxi cost varies between €14/€17 each way.
We would return to Amare Beach Hotel if we go to Marbella again.
Oh la la
If you want a really good 4 star hotel in Central Marbella the Amare ticks all the boxes. Yhe Amare was completely refurbished and refurbished a few years ago. Everything is high spec and its evident no money was spared to transform the Amare into a super cool adults only hotel where service and attention to detail is number one priority.
I was a little underwhelmed when we arrived at the hotel as it is in the middle of a busy street area. When we entered the hotel lobby and checked in with smiling helpful staff that quickly changed. We were allocated a room upgraded to a suite with side sea view a big king bed, choice of pillows. and a big balcony. The room was of a very high standard. Breakfast was exceptional serving freshly squeezed orange juice, cereals, croissants, pancakes bacon eggs cooked to order all types of breads cakes etc. They even served champagne.
The pool area had the biggest comfy sunbeds with lovely soft towels which can be changed every day. One large umbrella per 2 sunbeds so no scrambling for beds in the morning. A bell is provided for waiter service also. They also have sunbeds on the beach club so all tastes catered for.
Overall the Amare Marbella is a hotel of a very high standard. It is not cheap but if you are looking for a bit of pampering and R and R this is definitely the one for you.
A fantastic hotel with wonderful staff
We are just back after a week in the Amare Hotel with my mother and sister. The hotel was quietly luxurious and the staff really made us feel very welcome. A special thank you to Jesus in the restaurant who was very kind to my mother and appeared to run everything very smoothly. The pool and beach club were wonderful and their system of not allowing people to reserve beds meant there were always beds available for whomever wanted one. As it is an adult only hotel the atmosphere was very relaxed at the pool. We went half board and enjoyed the evening meals but didn't have lunch as the breakfasts were so amazing, we didn't feel the need to eat again during the day. I am already starting to plan a return trip.
